Hello everyone,

If you have applied or are planning to apply to the 2015 Baylor Post-Baccalaureate Program, join this thread so we can all be updated on interviews and acceptances!! 🙂🙂

Im planning to apply soon ! do you know if we have to resubmit new letters and transcripts even if we have online addsas with Baylor ?
 
Is it true that you need to be rejected before you can apply?

Yes. You have to submit new letters, and I think that was the most annoying part because your professors are probably tired of writing letters already. The program have their own system. Good luck 🙂
 
No, you don't need to be rejected, I asked Mrs Sneed since I haven't heard from Baylor ( I assume it's a rejection ) ...

You have the option of submitting one letter from an advisor or two letters from faculty.
 
Iam not a URM , so decided not to apply to this program , good luck everyone !

I've applied for the program. The post bac brochure states that they will make notifications on March 20. Does anyone know if this means they will send out interview invites by this date or acceptances by this date?

Also, does anyone have any idea how we pay for this program?
 
I believe March 20 is when they will send out acceptances. You can apply for financial aid at UTD and take out loans if needed.

Is your application complete? (all transcripts and other materials received)

I believe that on March 20 they announce if you got accepted or not. That means that they send out interview invites before this date.

I am not sure about the financial question, however, I believe you apply for loans.

Yes. Everything is turned in except for my transcripts which I'm sending out today.

No I haven't received an interview yet. I don't know if they will start sending before the deadline (Feb 15th) or after. I can't wait to hear from them.

Thanks for the info. I submitted my application Jan 15th and have not received an invite yet. I talked to someone who is in the program and he said that he received his interview invite the first week of March and that his interview was the second week of March. Hopefully we all hear something soon. I feel like this program is my best ticket into dental school!
 
I think interview invites this year will be sent out earlier than the first week of March because the deadline to apply last year was March 3rd. This year the deadline is Feb. 15th.

I really hope so!!!!!!!! The wait is stressing me and I don't want to apply next year 🙁 🙁
 
I am stressing out too! I have to figure out what else I am going to do if I don't get into this program. Thanks for the info pink_sprinkles
 
Hi Everyone! I applied also!! After reading threads from previous application cycles it seems like most people have heard back within the first two weeks of the application deadline. Hopefully we all hear back soon!!

I hope we do!!! Looking at previous years, Monday should be when they start inviting people to interview.

A MONTH FROM TODAY IS WHEN THEY ANNOUNCE THE PARTICIPANTS.

Thank you! And I honestly don't know. When I spoke to Ms. Sneed, those were the only two dates she mentioned for interviewing!
 
I received a call from Ms. Sneed yesterday for an interview! She offered me the same two dates--March 11th or 12th..

Congratulations!!!!! When did you submit your application? How exciting!! Do you mind sharing your stats with us? Also what is the phone number she calls from?? OMG I am more nervous now!

I am Hispanic and had a few hardships that I faced prior to and during college.

I am really excited for the interview. She called from the contact number for her listed in the application portal. Hope you get a call from her soon!!

I wish the school was open today!!! Feb is almost over!!
 
I emailed Ms. Sneed this morning about interviews. She said "Some applicants have been notified already, however, the selection committee will be reviewing files until March 20, the final notification date for all PBP applicants."

I believe that interview is mandatory. Therefore, I believe that if there is no interview invitations by the interview dates listed, the rejection chance is high.
