2015-2016 SUNY Downstate Application Thread

I'm a little confused -- for payment, what does start term necessarily mean? Our expected date of matriculation? Or the current "term." I don't know whether I should put Summer 2015 or Fall 2016.
 
What did you guys enter for grades for future classes?

7/5: Submitted secondary
7/6: Received confirmation of completed status.

Yeah, I emailed the office of admissions last night. No response yet
 
I'm an incoming senior... I haven't finished some of the prereqs because I'm taking them next year... how am I supposed to enter them into the secondary? :/
 
for all those who is receiving an error message when trying to pay about the "office is in process of setting up your account" how long did it take for you to be able to pay?
 
I just paid with no problem-- even got a confirmation receipt. Try again?
 
I missed the latest MCAT accepted by a month.. Really wanted a shot here.. Bummer.
 
i can't submit... the website keeps crashing for me. =___=
 
Anyone else get an email that said his/her secondary was submitted when s/he never submitted it?
 
I did. I didn't submit my application though, so I'm not really sure why. Maybe it was a mistake on their end?
 
Does anyone else have to wait for them to finish your account info or w.e. Before you can submit and pay for your app too? [emoji17]
 
If there were periods longer than 3 months, from the time you graduated from high school to now, when you were not employed full-time or in college full-time, please briefly describe your activities. (Limit 150 words)

Am I supposed to answer this if I graduated in May and started working September? I filed job applications, obviously!

I was having troubles paying a few days ago and emailed admissions. They sent me a link to pay the fee. I paid and now I just got another email to pay again. Did this happen to anyone else?

Is there a way to check our application status online?

Yes, I received email confirmation.

I have not found anyway to track application status; we will be waiting in the dark it seems. 🙁

any other quarter system people get a request for update on spring grades? I thought schools usually go with what is on amcas and don't ask for transcripts until matriculation to show you didn't fail or anything.

They've sent me three emails requesting payment...when I've already paid. I have no idea what's happening over there.
 
If anyone paid by credit card, can you let me know how the payment was billed? They spelled my name wrong in one email so I'm wondering if I got scammed or something.

Except all this has been done a bit longer for me.
 
I got an email to pay my supplemental fee on 7/10 and I paid it then. got a paid receipt and my credit card statement says the fee was charged. but i get a second email on 7/14 and now a third email yesterday to pay my fee again. i still havent gotten a complete email. has this been happening to anyone else?

Same here, got an email on Sunday. I emailed them back with a screenshot of my payment confirmation email but have not heard back.

Hey, I'm an incoming ms1...last year I followed pretty much the exact time table as you. I didn't receive an interview invite until mid January. So I just wanted to say that you should be patient! Best of luck to everyone applying this cycle! This is a long and annoying process...but it's very rewarding

SUNY schools don't review in the order you submit. They're basically random. I was never on pre-interview hold or anything. Like I said, this is a long process so don't get discouraged if people who were complete after you start getting interviews and you're still left in the dark. (Also try to stay off this website once all apps are submitted lol)

So after we submit and pay (I had a fee waiver), when we log back in, we just see the old payment page, right? Everything else disappears? lol..
 
Not a very user-friendly site, just used for the sole function of submitting!

Hey! I just got the email asking to update my Spring grades too (also on the quarter system). Wonder what that's about... I just sent in my unofficial e-transcript

When were you complete at SUNY Downstate?
 
mid july, a little more than a week ago
 
Submitted today, does the school automatically receive LORs if they are assigned on AMCAS?
 
Been complete for a couple weeks now and can attest to avgn's post. ^
 
Did you guys get a confirmation email after sending in the secondary? Or just an email with receipt for payment?
