Anyone interviewing on Wednesday want to grab some dinner tomorrow?
 
Submitted secondary September 2, notified of pre-interview hold early October. GPA is 3.69 and MCAT is 511, improved from a 21 on the old one. Chances and around when applicants generally hear back from holds?
 
Has anyone else who received an acceptance this week via the portal, also received an email yet? I'm still waiting.

Nah no email but I called them and they said a packet in the mail should arrive shortly.
 
Are interviews here closed file or open file? I know it is MMI but wasn't sure if interviewers know your stats beforehand or not?
 
One last question: is it true that each day there were only a handful of interviewees? Like around 10? Wasn't sure where I heard that but I thought that was what I heard.

My week had 15-18 in our group.. + the afternoon session which also had 15-18.
 
It was, if the group that interviewed today was any representation of the incoming class I would be happy to attend.
 
Committee meeting on Monday they told me, so anyone who interviewed late Oct/early Nov might hear back soon😱

I only had maybe 5 people out of our group that were cool; the comments I heard that day (Also the demeanor of the MS's I met) actually really turned me off to the entire uni. Kinda ruined the entire day.
 
High priority waitlist as well. Interviewed 10/26, also IS LizzyM ~72. I decided to remove myself from the waitlist though

For those accepted via portal, did the congratulations on being invited for an interview change to congratulations on being accepted? Where did you see the acceptance?

The portal cleared (no status), then a couple days later it had Congratulations on being accepted and an option to pay the deposit. it changes to "thanks for your deposit" after that.

Yes, only on the portal... no email yet. I did get an acceptance packet in the mail today.
 
Not sure if this has been asked, but anyone know if they send the acceptance packet to your preferred or permanent address? Thanks 🙂
 
After paying my deposit, all evidence of my acceptance disappeared from the portal and I have yet to receive an acceptance packet. Starting to think it was all a dream :nailbiting: However, my preferred address is in Canada... guess I should call tomorrow?

Others have commented on this happening as well. Mine still says thank you for your deposit, but I paid over the weekend.

Tl;dr it should be fine
 
Hey guys, I was accepted a while ago and I am very strongly considering this school. I was wondering if anyone knew about a Facebook group for the Upstate class of 2020? Or does that group get made next year? Also I had a couple of questions about the school that I didn't get to ask during my interview (I'd prefer to get a current student perspective on them). If there are any students on this thread would you mind sending me a message?
