And since I was not quick enough with the edit: The essays and anything else, including their expired TLS certificate, are the same as last year.
I'm not sure if this counts as impulse buying, but I just impulse spent 108 bucks on 3 schools... jeez my poor credit card, I'm so sorry.

Yes, the school will email you. Generally it's from some .edu email and not from amcas, so do check your spam folder. The emails are fairly generic and trigger spam filters rather easily.

This was a pretty crazy day, Netter released a month earlier than last year, Emory by 16 and Tulane by 4. Makes me feel like I need to speed up my prewriting.

Well. I submitted last night and on checking something this morning realized I downloaded 1 of the files for the secondary app for USUHS from a cached version of the page. It was updated within the last 2 days. The file has 100% of the same info but is formatted differently.
Looking for a recommendation but I plan to email them the new version on Monday with an explanation. The only thing stopping me right now is that I think the file might have just been updated last night which would mean it was the correct one when I submitted... Sorta at a loss

Maybe try calling them on Monday to explain the situation? They're extremely nice and I'm sure would understand / be able to determine how to proceed!

Submitted my primary! Time to prewrite and anxiously await my MCAT score release in 3 weeks!
Submitted my first secondary (some other pieces are in process, but out of my hands at this point). Two others are on bat, and several app received emails.

Submitted three secondaries and working on one more. After getting all of those on Friday today seems eerily quiet.
Nothing yet on my end... Any California schools for you guys?
Last year USC's came out July 8th and Stanford's July 11th. The UC's take a little longer since they screen, with the first one I believe being UCSF on July 13th. But it could very well be different this year, since Emory's came out a couple weeks early and Netter's came out a whole month early.
Got UC Davis this morning actually. And Hofstra, Cincinnati and Rochester

I reminded by sending an email with an update about my application process to "keep them in the loop". This worked for 3 and not for 1 who I had to call. Turned out my emails were going to his spam folder.

Cool, my cousin goes to UC Davis Medical School, but I only applied in SoCal. Great school, also where I went to law school.

In my case it's AMCAS/USPS taking their time. For any of the professors, I'd probably drop by to see how they're doing. 😉
I sent an update to one about my mock interview feedback and asked him to take a look at it. Did that last night. This morning my letter was in my AMCAS. 🙂
The other one I bake for and asked him if he wants me to bake him some bread. Not only is that a reminded, but also when I go deliver it I can remind him in person. 🙂
And I was finally verified today. Stupid transcript took forever.

Took the lack of new secondaries today to get caught up which was awesome. Though Jefferson and Pitt are sending out in batches right now, prewrote Pitt today but I need to do Jeff.
Way to go! I'm caught up on all but VCU right now-- received it yesterday and am slacking a little on it now. Do you guys think we'll receive secondaries over the holiday weekend? Also, happy early fourth of July 🙂!

I hope to submit my primary application by Saturday. I'm retaking the MCAT on the 12th, so plan on pre-writing after that.
Application was verified today. Just added three more schools for a total of four. Spending the money hurts so bad. 🙁 I'll add more over the weekend. So far:

I just submitted my primary today. Seeing everyone getting secondaries is making me feel like I screwed up in a big way. Hoping it doesn't alter the course of my apps too negatively.
I hope to have everything pre-written by the end of the month so I can hit the ball rolling when I get secondaries. I applied to 30 schools. This is going to hurt in a big way.

I'm definitely having a hard time detaching myself and realizing there's nothing left for me to do for a while. Just waiting to hear back about an interview.

It's tough. I get one and I like start rushing out of the gate and go through it, then I realize I have like 5 others I have to do that I've had for longer... oh geez.
I really need to start the private school 2ndaries
I am still waiting for any secondaries. One school started sending them out last week and I haven't gotten any. 🙁 I am currently waitlisted there.
Is it typical to get secondaries prior to verification?
I've gotten Pritzker and Dartmouth (Geisel) so far and just submitted on Sunday.
I don't mind getting ahead, but I don't want to waste time or money if I'm going to be screened out.

The schools that send secondaries pre-verification don't screen before sending them out. In other words, you would have gotten them even if your PS was a long list of profanities about School X's dean.
Some schools automatically send secondaries to everyone. If that's the case I think you have to complete it to find out if you've been screened out. It's a good and bad thing because you can get ahead but they don't all do a "weeding out" before secondaries and additional money.
Did 5 secondaries today, what a day it was! 10 total are completed at this point, bring on some more!
