That sucks. I can't believe they mentioned it now after people spent money on the application process.
Very much agreed. It is both disappointing and frustrating.
What?!?! How does this happen?
Not to mention that they probably filled a spot on people's application lists that would have gone to another site. Now everyone who applied there is down one possible site.
Has anyone heard from the Yale Child Study Trauma track? It looks like a bunch of other tracks sent out invites today, so my hope is dwindling...
I filled it out for another site. I put N/A for the forms because they aren't applicable to me. I put 14 days just because I didn't know what to do lol. I don't think it matters since there is a start date

Yes, or did anyone find out what their dates would be? I didn't see in brochure/site/appic site.
Weird to see a site send rejections first. But I guess hope is still alive.

Sorry some of you have to go through this! I'm sure this really stinks for the applicants affected. Unfortunately, I can think of several reasons why this might have happened, and I'd be willing to bet the site is extremely unhappy about the situation, too. For example, the site may have lost funding for internship spots (if it's a paid internship). They also may have budget or staffing issues that impede their ability to offer adequate supervised training experiences. Or there may be professional or ethical concerns that need to be addressed before taking on interns. Or it was a last minute decision made by the upper echelon and is beyond the control of the psychology staff.
Sorry! I know the above examples don't make the situation any less stressful. Hopefully they do make it feel a little less personal or punitive, though.

Thank you for your response! I ended up speaking with HR this morning and they said the same--Check box A and put 1 or 14 days--the other options don't apply.
