Hi everyone! Did you guys get a confirmation email for payment of your secondary? If so, can you please let me know what email address it came from? I don't think I ever got one. Thanks!

I got a "thank you for your payment" email from ae7840 at wayne.

I'm the later one! Does that mean lunch is first?

I had an afternoon interview. All the interviewees initially gathered in a classroom where we introduced ourselves, spoke to the medical student ambassadors, and had lunch (Jimmy John's). After the Q and A with the students we were split into two different groups and went on a tour of the Mazurek building. After the tour we took pictures (used for IDs in the event of an acceptance/matriculation) and started interviews. One group started 1 on 1 first and then MMI, the other group vice versa.

Awesome, thanks!

Is anyone replaying every single mistake you made during the interview in your head in slow motion constantly going between states of cringing and weeping?

Is everyone else getting like 5 million emails confirming their interview? I'm wondering if maybe I need to like confirm that I'll be there, but there's no link to do so. I'm just being inundated with reminders

Has anyone gotten rejected yet? I was told by the admissions office that they do send out rejection emails, but so far its seeming like its either going to be silent rejections or waiting til april....

Both. I guess I just want to know my status, and if I should still hold out hope for this school. I mean, my app has been marked "in for Review" since july 20th. Idk what to make of it.
The woman on the phone told me that they do send out rejection emails, but I have yet to hear of anyone getting one yet....

I would maintain hope until the II meter hits 1000 on the wayne website.

Interview invites are giving well into the admissions cycle. I know many of my peers didn't get their IIs until the February of their matriculating year. So, if you haven't received an II, I wouldn't worry at all. It's still too early in the season.

How do you know your app is complete? They send no confirmation email, right? I'm surprised to still not have heard anything after 2 months, being IS and all

If we didn't get our interviewer's email from them on interview day, how should we send thank you notes? Ask office of admissions to forward them?

I called admissions with this question yesterday. They said that they will forward emails to the interviewer upon request.

Hey guys, best of luck this cycle. Happened to talk to a few of you today. Easier said than done, but try not to stress too much. There are several people in our class who interviewed at various times of the cycle and were accepted in June. If you have any questions go ahead and PM me.

At my interview I was told to not write them.... Felt weird about that but I ended up not writing them.

I've been on the other end, as an interviewer (including at Wayne State's law school) and we always told people we interviewed not to write them. We meant it. Several still wrote them anyway. Didn't make any difference either way in the hiring process. And physicians are even busier than lawyers, so I imagine not having to take the time to open and read a pile of thank-you notes is a GOOD thing.
