This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Thanks for catching my mistake - meant to post that to U of Arizona's Tucson sdn thread hahaha...I am still in the running at Riverside w/ fingers crossed ^^

Ah! Thanks for clarifying. 🙂

has anyone been rejected post secondary, pre-II? or if you've haven't heard post-secondary, should i just assume that is a "hold"?
Has anyone gotten a rejection post secondary from UCR?
According to last year's thread, it appears post-secondary (but pre-II) rejections were sent out beginning Feb 17th.

are lectures recorded? are they mandatory? internal rankings? AOA?
All lectures are recorded and all recorded lectures (even from previous years) can be accessed at all times. Only some of the lectures are mandatory (the number of mandatory lectures decreases significantly during second year, which is kind of nice, since everyone is prepping for STEPS and it gives you flexibility to study around your schedule.) No internal rankings. Everything in MS1 and MS2 is pass or fail.

Has there been an II to anyone complete late August to early September? It seems like all the IIs have been to early completed.

Any new acceptances? Really really loved this program.

Just to confirm, they don’t send out acceptance packets by snail mail right? And did anyone receive a financial aid offer yet?

Yep! Interviewed Nov 18th. No communication from them thus far.

Interviewed mid-October and still nervously waiting to hear back. Not sure how much hope I should have at this point .. I really love this program

Besides Haider applicants (UCR Alum), if you haven't been accepted within 2-3 weeks of your interview date, it means that you have been waitlisted. You probably won't hear back until February/March.

Rejected today at 10:50am PST post-secondary, Pre-II. LM ~66, complete in mid July. URM from Northern CA with no ties to IE, non-traditional with MPH, 11k research medical research hrs with 10 publications, significant higher education teaching experience, and 3K community service hrs. Good luck to those still in the running

I'm sorry for those of you who were rejected today 🙁 Were any of you from the IE?

Also rejected today. IS but not IE. Complete late September, LM 75.

Does UCR take update letters? I didn't see an option for it. Even if they don't...would it be a faux pas to send one to the admission office anyway?

anyone have any updates? Nothing from my end (No II, no R) Submitted early august

Quick questions about the interview:

1. Is it open or closed file?

2. I have been going through some practice scenarios and I can usually give my answer in about 4 minutes. I feel as though my answers are detailed while still be concise but worry about the remaining 4 minutes. Should I work on speaking slower or adding more detail or is 4 minutes or so adequate (I am sure this also depends on prompt).

3. Any tips on preparing for MMI? I have been looking at healthy policies and watching MMI videos on Youtube but just want to be prepared as possible!

Thanks!

I’ve done 3 one-week medical mission trips to Peru, so a fair amount of time was spent there. I also did volunteer work in a 1st grade classroom for ~160 hours. Nothing too crazy, but I always worked full-time in a medical setting for almost my entire college career.
