hey dudes,
just got off the phone with stanford's patricia and she said that once your application is complete, it goes to one med student and one faculty member. they independently write a review on it that goes to the interview coordinator. he evaluates the file and the student/faculty reviews and then he decides who gets interview and who doesn't. 1/5 completed apps get interview, the rest are immediately rejected.
if selected, interview coordinator contacts you personally via EMAIL/PHONE CALL to invite you.
1/2-3 interviewees get in.
-it seems that the whole process for selecting interviews is pretty comprehensive there, so i would expect it to take a while (longer than 1 month) especially considering the majority of applicants submitted in the first week of november.
good luck y'all!
