2019-2020 Albert Einstein

Feb 1st is a saturday this year, still think we hear back then?

They don’t accept pre-II updates per their website unfortunately. I’ve seen some people on this thread say they have gotten differing information when they called but I would just stick to the website to be safe unless you call and they tell you otherwise!

Are you sure about that? According to their website, it seems like they accept updates pre-ii if you haven't been completed yet (and I know alot of ppl on this sub have yet to get that complete email)

Yes that does seem a bit confusing, as they’ve had some weird delays with sending complete emails. I personally just assume they mean once you’ve submitted no more updates until after II, but everyone can interpret that differently! Also always safest to call the admissions office just to confirm 🙂 I’ve personally been marked complete that’s why I didn’t send an update

Anyone sending a post-II update/letter of interest or does any current student have any insight into how admissions views those? I interviewed MSTP mid december and know this is my top choice but didn't want to send an intent letter this early, especially if decisions are supposed to come out around feb 1st. Just don't know if I should wait or send something to reiterate my interest in the meantime. Or if letters of interest are pretty much negligible to admissions committees.

I interviewed for MD only so not sure if it's different but I sent an update LOR and update letter post-II. Because I already sent them two things, I'm saving my letter of intent/interest for after I hear back. If you can send other things or maybe a half letter of interest/intent as opposed to a full letter, then you wont run out of options haha. Otherwise, Einstein loves updates!

Does anyone who has interviewed recently know the exact date they're planning to release decisions?? I know last year it was Feb 1st, but it's a Saturday this year so idk if that will affect things a bit.

I don't have any changes since I interviewed. Is there anything I can send before decisions? Or should I wait to send a letter of intent after decisions?

You can write an interest letter before and a letter of intent, if needed, after just highlighting different things about Einstein in both.

I wrote thank you letters after my interview including why I was interested. But I guess with about 2 weeks remaining. I probably will send one in if I don't get my decision the first day.

anyone know if the complete email and its mention of "10 weeks" indicates the time frame by the end of which you will be invited for a ii/rejected?

Would this school be receptive to letters of interest pre-II?

What email did you send your update to?

I don’t see any in March- did they all get taken?
Oh man, I’m not sure since I can’t see dates after scheduling my interview. I remember seeing quite a few dates starting the end of Feb so it could be a possible or I could also just be misremembering. Sorry! Best of luck tho!

Anyone else have difficulty registering for the interview site after receiving an II?

Honest to god, 7 months since submission and no complete email. I am really considering sending an email asking for my 100$ back. Since they claim it isn't marked complete until a human being looks at it, then I basically donated to the school. It's actual bull**** and unacceptable administration affairs. I don't care if a school looks at my file and rejects or even ghosts me, but to not even look at it? Its theft imo, anyone feeling the same way?

They hustled you.

Its like putting a 2$ rake on a 5$/hand game of blackjack to be honest. I know it would be bad etiquette to essentially say they didn't perform the contractual agreement of "I pay, you at least review my file" and therefore I should get my money back, but boy does my self-righteous desires want to bubble over sometimes.

You should call or email them asking for a refund. Srs.

From what I've heard, they interview through like march or april and accept several people outright (meaning they aren't waitlisted) from those interviews. I think they're just insanely slow.

Yes I had a friend who applied 2 cycles ago and got an II here in February for dates that were available in late March so it does seem their cycle is more stretched out

The Jewish holidays really TANK the admissions office's efficiency
