Complete today, submitted late July.
They do! I believe you send the update letter through email but I would call them to double check.Does Einstein not accept update letters?
According to the Med students, Einstein's admissions office actually loves update letters, especially if you're on the waitlist post-interview. Sending an update letter that also reaffirms your interest in the school has been known to bump you up the waitlist and sometimes even get an acceptance shortly afterDoes Einstein not accept update letters?
Yes! You check in in the morning and either have a morning or afternoon interview. Lunch is after you meet with current students who give you a tour of the campus and sit with you to see if you have any follow up questions. I believe there was also a presentation by one of the faculties before the tour.Does anyone who's interviewed remember the layout of interview day? 🙂
Thank you so much!! About how many hours would you say it was in total?Yes! You check in in the morning and either have a morning or afternoon interview. Of course!! It all depends on your interview when you start but everyone left around 3 PM from what I remember.Thank you so much!! About how many hours would you say it was in total?

February will be here soon enough 🙂this post-I waiting game...![]()
Seemed like it. Felt unimpressed with the school. But the staff were super nice though. Also felt like fellow interviewees didn’t talk to each other
What about pre-II update letters?According to the Med students, Einstein's admissions office actually loves update letters, especially if you're on the waitlist post-interview. They accept those as well! What about pre-II update letters?
Is there any correlation between lacklusterness of interview day and quality of time as a student at the school?
They accept those as well!
It is no longer true I confirmed that they accept pre-II updates. On their admissions website, they ask not to send pre-II updates (Instructions for new applicants | M.D. Admissions | Albert Einstein College of Medicine). Is this no longer true?
No but how soon is your interview? Mine is coming up soon and now I wonder if i should be concernedAnyone else just get their interview cancelled because of the storm warning?
i did rip lolAnyone else just get their interview cancelled because of the storm warning?
Did they reschedule you yet?!i did rip lol
Not yet, I feel like they'll contact us very early tomorrow morning since I got cancelled at like 7pm on Friday and then didn't expect anything over the weekend.Did they reschedule you yet?!
Anyone else submitted in Aug and have not received a complete email?...
They accept those as well!
Yes definitely wait until you received your grades before sending them an update! The only time I sent an "update" telling a school about an upcoming update was i.e I received an acceptance to present research at a conference.Would it be crazy of me to "update" them about an upcoming update??
That "completion" email got me stressing and I want to let them know I will have some great grades to share in the next couple weeks, but I can see how it would be annoying to do two letter uploads.
Best just to wait to send my grades or let them know now they'll be coming soon?
Hey everyone!
I am interviewing at Einstein this week and was curious if anyone with an MCAT score around a 510 got accepted post-interview/wait-list. Based on the MSAR MCAT distribution for Einstein, I did really well on the science sections, about average on P/S and performed poorly on the CARS section(~125) (English is also my second language). As a result, the CARS section really brought my overall score down.
If I got accepted to Einstein, there is no question that it would be my number one school. At this point, however, I am curious if there are current students who had similar drawbacks in their application, either in the form of a poor MCAT section or low GPA that ended up getting accepted. Any advice on things I can do/say to the school to make up for the low CARS score. My GPA is well above Einstein's average on MSAR and my extra-curricular activities are great too. The only draw back I feel insecure about in my application is my CARS score. I am worried that this section could prevent me from getting an acceptance, even if my interview goes amazingly well and everything else on my application checks out in their eyes.
Thanks for your input!
Did you email the update or was there a place on the portal to upload it?Secondary Submitted early August

That's interesting because my friend spoke to them recently and they said they accept pre-II updates.Just called admissions and they said they don't take pre-II updates
That's what the lady in the admissions office just told me, might want to call and confirm yourself before sending. That's interesting because my friend spoke to them recently and they said they accept pre-II updates.
+1. At this point, they don't even know who I am or that I applied. At this rate, I'll get my complete email in 2025!I sent one yesterday without asking because I had seen somewhere that they accept them? But honestly I'm not even complete there yet so who even cares, lol.
My friend last year got accepted with a 503 for MSTPHey everyone!

Yup! That's exactly what I did.I interviewed here this past September, and was wondering if i can submit a new LOR from my gap year job? And will the school see the new LOR when the committee reviews my file after my interview? I plan on submitting this letter as well as sending in an update letter about what ive been doing at work
Yeah I can’t get in yet, I’ll try again in a few hours.II! Is anyones portal not letting you register yet?
