For anyone that is well versed in medical school application process. I graduated from my undergraduate program in 2016, with a degree in Exercise Science. I had to take BIO 1&2, A&P 1&2, Gen Chem 1&2, Physics 1&2. I was also a college athlete. Long story short, my priority was more on my sport rather than my grades. I pretty much made C's and D's in all those courses. Since graduating, I have gotten extensive work experience in healthcare, which has lead me down the road of wanting to be a doctor. Right now, I am working at a hospital in the Cardiac Surgery ICU, having constant patient interaction post-op. I consider this job to be invaluable, and will look great on my med school application. I am also in the process of RE-TAKING ALL those pre-reqs I botched in undergrad. I currently have an "A" in all the courses i'm finishing up this Spring 2020 semester. Whilest also working 40+ hours a week. I plan to take and pass all of those courses, in the coming Summer/Fall 2020. Ive also started studying for the MCAT, and set a date in JULY for my MCAT. Hopefully it doesn't get cancelled because of COVID.

I am very confident that from my work experiences, and current science professors, I can get at least 6 really good letters of rec.Pretty much have those locked down. I've already got my personally statement together. The only ??? on application would be the pre-reqs. My question is: Since the medical school prelims open in the first week of May, would it be a good idea for me to apply, get my application in early anyway??? While actively trying to raise my science GPA,not having everything done ??? And then obviously my MCAT isn't until July, so I'd be applying without that number as well.

I would really LOVE to matriculate into medical school, in 2021. Any advise for aspiring Physician?

Thanks for your response . I definitely feel like I'm sort of rushing myself. I think I'm rushing because I'm 26, been out of college for almost 4 years now. Feel like I need to get stuff done fast. Do you think I should just take my time, finish what I have to get done, push back my MCAT date & take more time to study? Then apply May 2021.....
