Damn, post-II R earlier today, that hurts. Second time interviewing here too with a much improved app. I probably should have asked for a re-interview, my interviewer seemed to mistake basic facts about my app that I had to correct and ended up rushing off to see patients before the 30 minutes were up... so much for my top choice 🙁
Hi everyone! I am a current student at Einstein. I posted something similar around this time last year, and I'm posting again because I wished I had more info when I was in the position some of you are in. During my application cycle, I interviewed early in September, sent a letter of intent in December, and did not hear ANYTHING until March, when I was put on the waitlist. I got an email with the subject line "EINSTEIN - ROLLING ADMISSIONS.". The email started off with "I am happy to inform you..." but was not an acceptance. I got multiple emails from Einstein not relating to my status between the rolling admissions email and my acceptance Mid-may (like an email about how Einstein was responding to the pandemic). I also know current students who didn't interview until the Spring and ended up being accepted. Just wanted to put this out here so people know that even if they didn't hear today, not all hope is lost!

I interviewed back in September and also got this. Asking the same questions as you, who really knows at this point. I see someone else who interviewed last week got the same email so idk what to make of it. What a long/tough wait it has been, just love this school and am hoping for the best.
Btw, not sure if things have changed since I applied. But I can say for sure that I sent them multiple emails post-interview saying they were my top choice, and I think that the school is responsive to that.

Thanks so much for taking the time to shed some light on this! Would you happen to have any insight into what the “application remains under review” email tends to result in? Do people who receive this also tend to get waitlisted in March?
I actually don't remember reading about anyone getting an email like that when I applied 2 years ago, which makes me wonder if something has changed in the way they're doing applications. People were either accepted, rejected, or just heard nothing on Feb 1 like me (as far as I know). But if I were you, I would just consider replying to that email re-expressing your interest in Einstein and sadly there's nothing else to do but wait 🙁 fingers crossed for you all !
Anyone doing the certiphi getting the message "Your access information is currently not on file with ApplicationStation" when filling out your AMCAS ID and DOB
I am getting that message too.
I released my background check through Certiphi for a different school last month (with the same ApplicationStation Code), so when I called CERTIPHI they said that as long as both schools are AAMC colleges, they can see the background check and you don't need to re-fill out/ release a background check again and send it to a specific school (like to Einstein).
Pretty sure that means I don't have to do anything now? Can someone confirm this lol?

This happened to me a while ago when I was filling it out. What worked for me was putting my *full* zipcode, not just the first 5 numbers. Check your AMCAS application and make sure the zipcode you are entering is identical to the one you have on your AMCAS app

I also called Certiphi and they said the same exact thing to me! They also confirmed to me that the background check had been delivered yesterday (the day of my acceptance) to Einstein so hopefully, it is received. Lmk if there are any updates on your end!
Yup I am entering the identical zipcode. I had recently filled out Certiphi using the same ApplicationStation code for a different school so I am assuming that is why they are not letting me do it again. Is this your first time filling out certiphi?

got it, I guess this seems like the best case scenario for us who didn’t get a definitive decision the other day. I just wonder if they do this to people who interviewed later so that they can gauge how many people they are going to accept. also interesting bc I think they sent out those “high priority wait list” emails in March last year so hopefully we could get accepted soon
Yeah def best case scenario for anyone who interviewed too late to hear back on feb 1. That MS1 said they heard back in around May last year so I’m hoping we don’t have to wait that long to hear back hahaha

I got this too and I interviewed 11/23 so idk what to make of it - people who interviewed on my date and after me got As.

Seems to be high priority wait list - they are leaning toward admitting us but are waiting to see (a) how badly we want it and (b) if they have the space for us. They don't want to wait list us as they're hoping to admit us soon, but they also need to know we want them and that they have the space. It's not as good as an acceptance but it's a pretty promising sign. At least that's how I'm interpreting it based on what current students have said and based on prior years threads. Hope this helps!

yeah I’m thinking it’s the same thing! pretty promising for sure. hopefully we can hear back soon instead of later in the spring which is what happened last year.

I hope so! Been such a long wait already. I wanted to add though that in my email they did have me accept a spot on the wait list so what I said about them not wanting to wait list us was partially untrue. But at the same time, it def seems to be a different type of wait list email than others have received and an indicator of the other stuff I said. Wishing you the best of luck and hope to see you in The Bronx next year!!

Hey guys! Congrats on the Rolling Admission/HPWL email. At least for my cycle last year, that was indeed an indication that they were very interested in you but weren't accepting you outright for whatever reason. They are likely waiting for responses from the first A wave to gauge how many more As to send out in the next wave. This would be a good time to send a LOI if Einstein is your top choice and let them know how much you want to be here! And a chance to send any academic/professional updates that could strengthen your application.
Often the HPWL emails were followed at some point with an email asking you if you're still interested, which appeared to mean that they were close to sending you an acceptance but wanted to make sure they weren't sending them to people who had already decided to go elsewhere. This was later on in the cycle I believe when people were making final decisions so may not apply right this second.
If you received just a waitlist email and not rolling admission, that is the regular waitlist. It's perhaps not as valuable as the HPWL, but I know of people who were accepted off the regular waitlist too. I think (and don't hold me to this) that sometimes people are moved off the regular waitlist and onto the HPWL later on. I also know someone who was accepted outright later in the cycle with no waitlisting at all!

Any January interviewees receive the rolling admissions email yet after getting the "app under review" on Tuesday?
Yes I did. I sent my update at 9pm and received a confirmation email around noon the next day.

Yeah, my rolling admissions email also asked me to write back indicating interest in addition to having me confirm a spot on the wait list.

WL on 2/1, no rolling admissions email, IS LM 72, interviewed 10/4. Really sucks because Einstein was my favorite out of the schools I interviewed at. Thinking of sending a LOI, anybody ever heard of normal WL being swung to rolling admissions? I've read posts saying Einstein has reached out in March with rolling admissions emails to normal WL applicants, anyone know any better?
Got the HPWL email this morning! Interviewed 12/3. Surprised by how fast their response was after the initial wave but crossing my fingers!
Is the rolling admission waitlist email the same thing as the HPWL email? Or are they something different?

Rolling admissions is considered the HPWL. Regular waitlist will not say rolling admission in the email.
Does anyone on the rolling admissions "HPWL" have any advice on what to write in your email? I submitted an update letter on 2/1 the day before I received the rolling admissions email, but now I want to express my interest in the email to Mary Pace as they requested. I don't feel comfortable writing a letter of intent bc I'm not 100% sure I would attend if accepted, but Einstein is definitely in my top 2 options right now so I'm not sure how to best express that without making it sound like they're my second choice.

I also sent a long update about a week prior to receiving this email. As such, I sent a brief statement of interest including reasons I wanted to attend but didn't write a long love letter or anything like that. Just wanted to make sure they knew I was in fact still interested after placement on their HPWL. I figure I'll give it a month or so and if I still haven't heard from them then it would be appropriate to write another longer letter. If you haven't already sent something I hope this helps - good luck to you!
