For people attending first look, did you get a confirmation email when you registered? I thought I registered but I haven’t heard anything from Rush and am worried it didn’t go through or I forgot to click submit or something

Here's the copy and paste from the AMP portal 😊does anyone know when we'd start school/orientation? trying to figure out summer plans and can't find dates!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
M1 Orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25 – Friday, June 27.
Each day will run from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This three-day event is thoughtfully designed to introduce you to key resources at Rush and help you prepare for the year ahead. You’ll hear from various Rush University departments, including the Registrar's Office, Student Life & Engagement, Financial Aid, and Financial Affairs, as well as departments specific to Rush Medical College and the RMC student experience.
After Orientation, you’ll have a week off for the 4th of July holiday, with classes beginning on Monday, July 7.

Received financial aid award letter this week. I applied for merit and need-based, was only awarded need-based aid for M1. I assume they have already sent out merit-scholarships too but not sure...

Has anyone received their full financial aid yet? Still silence on my end…
[QUOTE="hifromvenus, post: Has anyone received their full financial aid yet? Still silence on my end…[/QUOTE]
If you go into your portal, you may have a preliminary offer in there. It’s in the self service portal on Ellucian. Admissions did tell me that even if you did get your package, you can get yours adjusted when merit scholarships come out, they are not final! I think they only sent out need based aid right now.
Hoping we all find out more tomorrow at first look!

Hi everyone!! I am really conflicted between choosing rush and another school but I wanted to hear some real takeaways of students about the whole mandatory classes and flipped classroom. I have heard great things about it from student ambassadors but if anyone has heard other student's opinions about or if a student there can respond to this with their honest experience about it I would appreciate it! I loved the Chicago area but am hesitant if the flipped classroom is the best use of time.

Did anyone get off the waitlist recently? Is there still hope for me?
Not on sdn recently. I think early march was the last time. The wl students monthly zoom sessions is tomorrow. I am sure Jill will let us all know tomorrow when she expects movement to start. Mostly likely though we will probably have to wait till after April 30thDid anyone get off the waitlist recently? Is there still hope for me?
You have to register for it and they send you a personal link. You should have received an email from Sarah Morgan post wl inviting you to the meetings. If you didn’t get that email I would just reach out to Sarah and I am sure she will share it with youI'm on the waitlist and didn't get an email with this information. Could you pm me the link?

Withdrew A last night. Good luck to everyone!
Has anyone gotten the offer for Rush institutional student loans yet? This is the one that's 5% interest and is through Rush itself. I've only gotten the offer for the general loans meaning federal unsubsidized, Graduate PLUS, need based, and I guess they gave out merit aid too.

from my understanding, you have to apply to Rush institutional loans, but I could totally be wrong about that. i'd call finaid to ask/confirm.Has anyone gotten the offer for Rush institutional student loans yet? +1 A Withdrawal
This was tough to do. Their campus was great. Everyone I met was so kind and caring, for the most part. It's a great school with a great mission. Overall, I am happy my withdrawal gets one of you guys off the waitlist. Whoever it is, I hope you have a wonderful time in Chicago 🙂

Good luck! This was a beautiful message. I found the people to be caring as well. If you feel so led to give any sort of explanation, and of course you don't have to at all, why did you decide not to matriculate? I am deciding between schools too and it's a tremendously hard decision.+1 A Withdrawal

I don't mind at all! For me, it was finances. I was given a great opportunity from another school I really like that I couldn't turn down, and because of that, I declined RUSH because the aid wasn't strong. That's ultimately why I declined. Now if you need help deciding I am more than happy to chat what I personally factored in. Just shoot me a DM.Good luck! This was a beautiful message. I found the people to be caring as well. Withdrawing my A. RUSH has an amazing mission and I felt very welcomed at all of the admissions events I attended, but tuition + cost of living just can’t compete with my in-state school. Very hard decision. Hope one of you lovelies has the chance to enjoy Chicago, and I hope to visit the city more in the future!
