2024-2025 Rush

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Anyone know where I could find the 2024 Rush match data? Haven't been able to find an actual list from 2023 or 2024, just general articles.

Also is there a slack/groupme/discord for accepted students? I saw on the portal there was a Facebook group but I was wondering if there was any other platform accepted students have been using?

Where did you find the Facebook grp? I don’t see it in the portal

So if you go to the portal, click 'Admitted Applicant Resources', then click 'Connect with RMC it will be the first thing that pops up 🙂
Ahhh i still don't see it but it might be because I didn't pay the $100 yet. Thank you!

Regarding the Financial Aid portal, has Rush sent you guys any info yet about that? Have they given you guys a Rush email?
yes, they sent us email access a little while back. itll make its way over to you soon, im sure. 🙂

re: facebook group, someone asked in the last town hall if there was a groupme and the adcom team said nothing official yet, just FB!

Does anyone know if the "first look" event increases your chances of getting off the waitlist? I am an out of state applicant and would have to fly in for the event, which I am totally willing to do if it helps out but I'm just not sure if it really weighs in?

did anyone get a confirmation when they registered for first look?

Are first look events super informative? I’m trying to justify paying $900 to go… 😵‍💫

Based on attending a tour with 2 current M1s recently, they said the first look day was great for giving a sample of the “flipped classroom” teaching method, touring the academic building, and meeting potential future classmates. So it’s a good vibe check.

At my tour, I thought it was great for getting a feel of the facilities and the culture of the school, but information wise there wasn’t substantially more than what we got on interview day. It was nice for exploring Chicago, potential places to live, getting a feel for public transport tho which I viewed as valuable.

That being said, I don’t think it’s make or break if you go or not. I opted to go to a tour because I’m struggling to choose between schools and also wanted an excuse to visit Chicago so 🤷‍♀️

For people going to first look, are you planning on staying with current students? I live in Chicago, so I have housing but I am debating staying with a current student/wondering how common it is? The email said spots are first-come, first-serve basis so I don't want to take a spot from anyone who needs it more than I do and I also don't want to be a bother to whoever I would stay with, but at the same time it could be nice to get a more personal/first-hand experience and get to know some current students, especially if its relatively common + there are spots. Also for current students - do you enjoy hosting prospective students or is it more of a "I'll be a good person" type vibe?
did you hear back about staying with a student? I haven't yet and am debating if I should start looking for hotels

Is the first look only by invitation for accepted candidates?
RUSH Admissions Timeline states that the First Look Day for Admitted & Waitlisted Applicants is on Apr 4th and currently i am on WL.
Or is there a place to sign-up for the event ?
Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks !!

They send an email where you can sign up for it! I’d reach out to the admissions team

Im currently waitlisted and planning on attending the first look next week. Should I send an update letter/LOinterest after the first look or would sending it in sooner be better?

Yeah same here. All the loan/grant stuff is there but not scholarship/aid info

anyone aware of how many of each scholarship they give out???? the 400K price tag is really scaring me with all of the proposed PSLF and/or IBR changes🙁

I talked to financial aid about this and they said that this was not the finalized version and the aid in there wasn’t official. From what I can tell a few people got some preliminary need-based aid put on their award letters, but I don’t think any scholarships has been added.

Can confirm. Just talked to financial aid and they said that they had only awarded need based. I asked for a timeline on merit awards and other scholarships and she said soon.

If you're accepted you can go onto the Rush Portal and just search for the match list in there and they have the whole list for this year and the last two. If you can't find it then pm me.

yall think we will hear about the merit scholarships before second look?

Wait where are you getting a $400K price tag from. I thought tuition each year on average was around $70K? Not including living expenses. I could be wrong. What breakdown are you using for $400K?

from the financial aid townhall, tuition is 57,778 for fall 2025 through summer 2026. living expenses 48,828. all said and done its just over 100k/yr.

With everything going on with federal funding I wouldn’t be surprised if aid money is tighter this year

who’s planning to live in a studio apartment vs with a roommate? Any current students what did you do and thoughts?
