same, I really thought we’d hear back by now. i’ve been wondering that too and thinking like, am i next on the list? am i at the bottom? it’s difficult to navigate for sure
 
rooting for all of you so so much. i hope that me getting the A today means a lot more A’s flowing in over the next 1-2 weeks. fingers crossed and please continue to have hope. i was giving up and i had backup plans in case (which is always smart) but try to hold out as long as u can.

Question for those recently accepted or OOS on the WL.

Unless you live or know someone in the city, is 1 month or less too last minute to find a decent place to live near campus?

I’ve always heard nyc housing market is insane and didn’t know if that applied to Harlem.

it’s not too last minute! I know someone who moved in like 10 days after finding a place. It moves fast so once you like something you gotta lock in. I haven’t signed a lease yet but this is what I’ve been experiencing & hearing from my new yorker friends.

Oh yea! I’m sure you can find a place, I guess by decent I meant an close/affordable place since last minute folks may not have time to search around extensively for the best price

Yeah I'm still waiting too and it feels so brutal. I wonder how long this HPWL is, and when I should start losing hope.🙁
 
i was on the HPWL but then they sent me another email last week asking if i'm still interested 😵 T.T
 
I wished the norm was to tell students how unlikely their chance of getting off the waitlist is, espically if it’s ranked. You already got my app and secondary fee from me. Like it would sting for a day or two but I’d rather know I’m at the bottom or not considered at all, than be ghosted till orientation 🙁
 
I did! The class is full unfortunately. I was basically told to move on or take other offers from other programs!

yeah i def think a couple more spots will open between now and orientation as people drop last minute

well 4 people entered the GroupMe today and 1 person left because they got off a different waitlist
 
seats not offered to the vast majority is prob true but i think there will still be some seats offered. i encourage trying to gauge how high up you are, i hope adcom can give some clearer answers to at least the people high up on the list

They are not very transparent when one calls. I am not sure if there is even a way to know unless someone in here has tips!
 
Sorry for if my initial comment misled anyone. I read the email fast, and missed the “vast majority” part! 😀
