Is the portal down for anyone?
Cinci isn't as instate heavy as it used to be. Not a death sentence like trying to apply to KY schools w/o Ties. Better to not write anything than lie about it and get caught. Is it bad not to answer the Ohio ties prompt? I have an uncle who lives there, but I haven't talked to him in years. Not sure how much I could stretch
You're welcome to try it and report back 🙂Questions sound like they really want to weed out any bad apples. I had an accident a few years ago when I was still an inexperienced idiot, and thankfully only thing that happened was it got dropped when I showed up in online court (the cop was very lenient, but my insurance rates spiked all the same). I imagine I can just answer "no" to #3.
Wonder why the questions are really just not asking much beyond "why us", gap year, reapplicant, and ties. If it's just mainly primary they're looking at, bravo to them
I was never "convicted" or "pled guilty". Literally showed up, the court official said "yeah since it's your first offense we're just gonna let you go with no issues at all". But in hindsight I will just write about it anyways. You're welcome to try it and report back 🙂
In the AMCAS primary, we were allowed to say no if our record was expunged. Is this prompt asking for an answer regardless of if the record was expunged or not? Were you ever the recipient of any institutional action (e.g., disciplined, probation, suspended, dismissed or other action) by any college, university or medical school for unacceptable academic performance or conduct violation, even though such action may not have interrupted your enrollment or required you to withdraw? If 'Yes' please explain fully in the space below. (750 characters)
also, how serious is the response to this prompts guys. Are you guys actually reporting speeding tickets to this question? Is it a bad idea to just leave it blank?Have you ever been convicted of or pled guilty or no contest to, any moving traffic violations (moving violations include speeding tickets)?
If yes, please explain fully below (include information even if charges were dropped, dismissed, or otherwise mitigated). (750 characters)
It’s a bad idea if you had one, yes. I cannot stress enough how important it is to not lie on your apps unless you’re willing to kiss your chance of being a physician goodbyealso, how serious is the response to this prompts guys. You must report even if expunged. Your school still has access to the records even if expunged (something admins won’t tell you) so the safe thing to do is to report it.In the AMCAS primary, we were allowed to say no if our record was expunged. It'll still show on one of their background checks. Just answer the question honestly- it's not that complex or worth splitting hairs over a technicality... If you want to do all that, maybe you should go to law school instead 😉In the AMCAS primary, we were allowed to say no if our record was expunged. Ok, I was wondering because the wording of the prompt wasn't very clear. Other schools like Einstein and Hackensack were more direct with phrasing like "expunged or not" or "even if it doesn't show up on your transcript". Because of this, I was confused. I can't remember off the top of my head right now, but if I answered "no" to any other school that didn't have direct phrasing like Einstein and Hackensack, am I screwed with them? Is there anything I can do? I'll have to double check all of the secondaries I've already submitted, but now I'm very worried. You must report even if expunged. I wouldn't worry about the ones you've already submitted. Based on the language you're using here, it sounds like the schools that are direct w/ their request (Cinci, Einstein, Hackensack), you should answer fully regarding the situation (s). For other schools, a "no" sounds like an appropriate response.Ok, I was wondering because the wording of the prompt wasn't very clear. Well now the portal says "Please include EVERY job (paid) that you have worked. If you have never been employed, please leave employer and dates blank and click on the designated checkbox."I just realized (after submission) that I did not include any non-paid "job" that I had. I only included those I received compensation for... I think I'm cooked.
Congrats! When was your app complete?+1 oos II regular MD! (LM 74)

Are you waiting on ED as well?Congrats to those who got an II! Quick question: are the II for ED applicants or regular?
Here is the information and timeline for ED applicants. Are you waiting on ED as well?
Thank you for sharing this link and for including your explanation. When I completed my ED app and read through this, I thought decisions would be made as applications came in rather than after all applications had been received. Oops- that's my bad 😳 Thanks again 🙂Here is the information and timeline for ED applicants.
Note that the deadline for ED applicants to submit their primary and secondary was August 1, and when the committee has had time to review all the ED applications they will make their interview decisions. Not all ED applicants will get an interview.
ED application to U Cincinnati
Well they probably have been reading them as people turned them in, but before choosing who will be interviewed to be fair they will read all that make it in before the deadline.Thank you for sharing this link and for including your explanation. That makes sense. Thanks again for sharing your wisdom 😊Well they probably have been reading them as people turned them in, but before choosing who will be interviewed to be fair they will read all that make it in before the deadline.
No pre-reqs.Guys does cincy have any pre-req coursework requirements? I'm looking at their website and I can't tell if they do...

Hi could i dm you with a question?this is simply bc it was hard to get volunteers to do the MMIs since they are so people/time intensive. Coming from someone at UCCOM!
SureHi could i dm you with a question?
You can’t go back and look at them after you submitAnyone know where to see your submitted secondary answers?
Is this an assessment that is sent after an II?Is it possible to get asked ethical questions in the 1 on 1? Or is that already covered by the Kira assessment and the 1 on 1 is more conversational?
I'm still waiting to hear back about an invite, but I recall application materials mentioning an NDA covering interview materials. Idk that you're going to get much from folks regarding what questions do they specifically ask =/Has anyone completed the KIRA? What kind of questions did it ask? (and yea KIRA is an asynchronous section sent after an II interview)
Also don't know why anyone would openly share that information. By doing so you are not only breaking privacy concerns with the school, but also helping another applicant "cheat" and possibly score higher than you to gain an A over you.I'm still waiting to hear back about an invite, but I recall application materials mentioning an NDA covering interview materials. Exactly. I'm not a fan of sabotaging each other to try and get ahead, but I also don't see any benefit to risk cheating when something like a potential career dream is on the line. Better to play clean and not make it, then make it, get caught cheating, and ultimately lose- ya know? Also don't know why anyone would openly share that information. Maybe in the applicant portal? That's the only document upload interface that I know of.Do y'all know where to upload post-interview thank you letter?
When did you submit if you don't mind me asking.+1 IS II, Strong ties, LM 75
