My question:
As a Biochemistry major, would both these letters need to be from science faculty? Or can I use a letter from a Biochemistry professor (science faculty within my major) and an English professor?

I already submitted my secondary (with the Biochem and English prof letters) and it has been marked as complete. Does this mean I'm in the clear, or should I seek further clarification with the committee? I do have a second science prof but I hesitate to use it because it's generic, written on a time crunch when another letter writer ghosted me, and from a class I withdrew from 🥲.

I would really appreciate any insight from adcoms! I believe I'd previously received advice regarding my letter conundrum from @Mr.Smile12 @LizzyM

Inconsistencies like this should be brought to the Admissions Office's attention. They need to clarify it for you.

The fact they haven’t responded to (at least in my opinion) a pretty important question due to their own miscommunication during peak traffic times shows how poorly run this program is and gives us some insight into why they were put on probation in the first place.

Yeah, I'm not being unreasonable in my expectations for response times either. I also tried calling them on Monday and emailed them last Monday with no response for a very similar issue.

Just from my personal experience but I have heard from friends/family who have applied here previously and tried contacting the school for similar reasons that the school has a tendency to not respond to emails or communicate much 🙁

I would go off of which one is most recently updated. Although this may not be listed on either one.

As far as lack of communication goes with them, sucks they haven't responded. I know they're probably bombarded but that's no excuse, especially for something as important as LoRs. I emailed UMiami late May about something similar and got no response.

Should be fine. You will have to explain why you didn't get a committee letter in the secondary. Are you trying to get in touch with your old professors? AE doesn't require LORs to be from your graduated institution.

"Providing letters of evaluation is part of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine application process. We require a premedical committee appraisal letter (preferred) or two letters from professors who taught you in courses (at least one in science). Nontraditional applicants are encouraged to submit two letters of recommendation from colleagues with whom you’ve worked closely. Please review frequently asked questions about Einstein’s letters of evaluation requirements."

If you did a post-bacc, you will need a Disciplinary memo from your undergrad institution staying that you graduated in good standing. This MUST be submitted through AMCAS Letter Service

This is what I did. I also did not have to explain why I did not have a committee letter. I was not enrolled in a formal post-bacc program, so I did not provide a post-bacc letter. AE does not seem to have a problem with the LORs I uploaded because I received an e-mail saying my secondary is complete

for the second essay, "Please use this space to tell us anything about yourself that you would like us to know. If you do not wish to write anything, please write “NA.” (3000 characters)", is it truly optional or are people seeing it as a soft requirement? the wording makes me feel it isn't truly optional but I'm not sure.

If questions like this apply to me would y'all recommend be direct and explain why (about 1500 character responses) or should I do longer stories with deeper reflections from these experiences (max 3000 characters)? I can do both, I'm just not sure what would be appropriate.

Yes try calling, but I doubt it will do much good, this school refuses to communicate for some reason. Finally get their probation removed and now back to treating applicants like ****.

it's true though. they've not responded to any email or call that any of us on here have sent, starting from months ago.

I believe asking for the bare minimum in communication is not bad mouthing, that is quite literally their job, especially when things are unclear on their website. Applicants pay $100+ for them to review applicants files and answer questions. You should expect more than the bare minimum for that price.

I got an "application complete" email that was distinct from my "application submitted" email. It came after my last LoR I had assigned was uploaded.

I was verified 7/29 and received the Einstein supplementary invite the same day. Then, 1 minute later, I received that LCME accreditation email. I don’t know if they screen
