Congrats! Does anyone know if they are sending IIs in order of submission date, bc that seems like a huge jump from 7/9 to 7/28

Not sure about Einstein but in general, I’ve heard that it’s often luck of the draw in terms of how quickly your application is read by your designated reviewers.

Some reviewers are super busy and have to wait a bit, while others get their work completed early.
 
Anyone have their interview yet or is tomorrow the first day?

I feel like I just bombed mine. They only asked a couple of questions and then left the rest of the time for me to ask questions. I asked a few questions I wanted to, but I feel like there were awkward pauses, and it ended after 25 minutes.
 
Just interviewed here today. I saw that there is a virtual meet-up with students today to learn more about the school. On the interview portal it mentions a session on Friday afternoon called "Real Talk." Does anyone know if these are the same thing or if they are different? I haven't received any more info about the session on Friday so I'm just curious

They are different one is on fridays at 3:30 (real talk) and one is on your interview day at 4:30 at least I think
 
Does Einstein send complete emails? I'm not sure if I got one after submitting my secondary.

I think that’s the same thing and I got an email yesterday to join with the Zoom link.

Also, if you don’t mind sharing how was the vibe of the interview? I know you can’t share any specifics, I was just curious before my interview in a couple weeks
 
Does Einstein use rolling admissions? they mentioned in an email that they start sending out disposition letters on March1st, but if I interviewed in September do they make the decision earlier and just send the letter in March?

If you're applying for regular MD, you are correct in that they send out decision letters in early March. The only decisions that come out before then are for MSTP.

got it thank you! do you know if applications are considered and decisions are made on a rolling basis and then just released in march?

If decisions are released March 1st, committees usually meet to discuss all prior applicants 1-2 months before. A lot of competitive schools do this to assess the pool all at once.

Rolling basis means just that - a wave of applicants interview, the committee meets, and releases decisions shortly after.

Thanks for the clarification! So for a school like this does it matter when you submit/do the interview?
 
Does Einstein accept pre-II updates? I can't find anything about updates on their website or in the emails they have sent
 
submitted on july 6th and haven't heard back. is that a good or bad thing.. are we still in the running?

Agree with that. Just be yourself and know your application. My interviewer really seemed to have read it, and we had a really fun conversation that ran for over an hour.

Admit.org is demonstrably false for many admission statistics. Checking admissions statistics there vs. school-published data on official websites show no correlation (NYU, stanford, etc.)

This is partly because many schools (including Einstein) have not submitted surveys to US News for the past 2 years. Even when there is accurate data reported to US News, what is posted is usually 2 cycles behind.

Accurate post-II rates unfortunately are not public now for many schools unless they post it on their admissions page. For 15,000 applications --> 1400 interviews (last cycle, first post-tuition announcement), a better estimate is 15-20% based on the class size and yield.

yeah per their school stats 966 interviews at 165 acceptances so like 17% 🙁

Yeah admit.org for whatever reason is way off. Cycle track has honestly been a lot more representative if you want some data point to look at.

Gotcha— so 40% was probably the accept rate before Einstein got swamped with applicants after going tuition free?

Maybe, but I bet the number of total acceptances given out is much higher than one would think. Also, on Einstein's website they claim that 966 interviews were sent out in 2024, not 1400 (unsure where the other person got that information from).
