Indiana does not employ a secondary essay phase in their application process.
Apparently they will send you an email that your AMCAS application has been received, then at the time when they choose whom to interview, will send selected students a link to fill out some additional non-essay information.

Good luck to all applying!

I believe it was removed. If not they don't really look at it heavily if at all. I got a 1st quartile score and ended up getting WL than accepted.
Casper is quite literally a money grab, because they figured applying wasn't expensive enough

Indiana is requires 3 credit hours of psychology, sociology, and Biochemistry, which translates to 4.5 credit hours in the quarter system. I only have 1 quarter of each (4 credit hours), which is 0.5 credit hours off. Does anyone know how strict they are about this, or am I cooked?

Is there any way to show strong ties to the state/school if we are OOS and did not attend IU for undergrad? I don't see anything about them accepting letters of interest. Is it a crapshoot until you receive an II/rejection?

In the past, they seemed to have also liked applicants from other Midwestern states nearby. This school does not allow for more information until they decide to interview you.

Recieved confirmation that they recieved my application yesterday IS

@chilly_md MSTP secondary prompts if that's helpful?

1. Please select the doctoral pathway(s) you are most interested in pursuing: [checklist of disciplines]

2. How did you find out about the Indiana MSTP? Why are you interested in MD/PhD training at Indiana University/Purdue University in particular? (500 word limit)

3. Please describe your research interests and describe how the opportunities at the Indiana MSTP fit with your goals for graduate training. Please include names of up to five IU (and for BME applicants, Purdue) investigators whose research programs interest you. (500 word limit)

4. The Indiana MSTP seeks students whose individual strengths and viewpoints can help advance the future of medicine. Please describe the unique perspective or experience you would contribute to the incoming class. You may also share any personally significant or challenging circumstances from your background that shape the outlook you bring. (500 word limit)

5. Briefly describe a specific instance when you faced adversity, how you met that challenge, and how you demonstrated resilience. (250 word limit)

6. If you have any updates or new information to report since you have submitted your AMCAS primary application, please briefly describe below. (250 word limit)

7. If you are currently not a fulltime student, please briefly describe the activities you are participating in this academic year. (250 word limit)

8. If you are a re-applicant, what have you done to enhance your re-application? (250 word limit)

If it's the same as last year, they should start sending out interview invites this week or next

To those who have received an OOS application receipt notification, when was your AMCAS verified?

Received interview invite for ED. For the grad school application, do you we write something for the academic experience essays? It has a 600 character limit.

I just emailed to ask and they said, "Please disregard that prompt. Writing N/A would be sufficient."

OOS II +1. I am confused about the grad school application. Do we fill in everything (like the gpa stuff) or just submit it?

If youre invited for an interview, you have to complete a separate application which is the same application used for other grad programs at IU

I’m confused why they aren’t completing OOS apps that were submitted on time. Is this normal for this school ?

Wait did everyone get an acknowledgement they received their primary? I never got that email and im confused now cuz isnt that automated?

Nice! IS RD and haven't received a II yet. Any idea if I haven't met screening or if there will be more II invitations sent in the future?
IS II +1 this morning, considering some people received them last week I think they're rolling so I wouldn't worry too badly

What ur saying I never got a confirmed receipt
Yes the confirmed receipt of stuff is just a little email, but idk if it's automated. I submitted mine on the first day available, 6/27, but didn't get my confirmation of receiving it until 7/3, almost a week after submitting

My application was transmitted 6/27 and I didn't receive the receipt notification until 7/10 so we might just have to be patient as they work through all of them.

+1 OOS II, for the letters, I thought they used the amcas letters but the supllemental information makes it seem otherwise. I may be dumb and reading it incorrectly. Could anyone clarify because their website didn't exactly clear it up.
