I know I am a little late but is it still worth applying right now? Maybe in a week or two?
totally still worth it! Obviously earlier is better, but plenty of people who apply even into October get accepted. If the fee is manageable, I'd say it's super worth it if you'd want to go hereI know I am a little late but is it still worth applying right now? Maybe in a week or two?

It's still early for DO schoolsIs it worth applying this late? OOS LM 68.50

They don’t have a secondary just the payment portal.Has anyone not got a secondary yet?
They sent IIs in July last year so we don’t know because clearly it’s a diff timeline this year.Does anyone know if they start sending interview invites this month?
some are reporting II on admit
Yea it’s where you submitted the payment. Actually one of the best portals of any schools I applied to.Is there a portal login or anything where we track our status? Or not for this school
I did some research, and I read that medical schools make these kind of people compete with each other if you know what I mean. Alot of schools with lower metrics do accept them, but may turn them down for the fact they may seem like someone who is using their school as a backup. What ends up happening is, they have to compete with other high stat students to higher tier schools. Not sure if this is absolute facts, but it makes sense on an administrative level (for the sake of filling seats etc.).Just saw those.
High stat folks that can almost assuredly go MD. One was a 519, 4.0 or something like that.
I see, so they started! In state II received 9/03, LM 70, app submitted 7/02
The actual reason why DO's take the high stats is because of the deposit money, because they know in the end that the high stat dude is going to an MD so might as well milk them. Unfortunately, that sucks for low stats applicants but business is business, thats why low stats mainly see movement later down the cycle
Nope, MD schools usually refund deposits. Most DO schools deposits are more expensive and nonrefundable. That doesn't make any sense. Most schools deposit money is refundable.
It's true they do interview high stat applicants early for deposit money. Most DO school charge $1k to $2k for deposit and are nonrefundable. PCOM charges $250 so it's on the lower end but still higher than most MD schools. That doesn't make any sense. Most schools deposit money is refundable.

I wonder if it is because PCOM has a lower turnover rate than many DOs. I know some that charge over 1k that tend to have a very low acceptance to offer ratio. It's true they do interview high stat applicants early for deposit money. They did talk about a different academic cycle this year.last years app cycle was pcom's first class to begin in june, so i wonder if it is delayed compared to previous years since they are adjusting to a different academic calendar
Do you mind sharing your stats or when you submitted payment?+1 IS II
Yea it took like 5 weeks for me to get out of it.is it normal to be in initial review since 8/15?
