This Personal Statement is different than the essay that had been submitted with your AACOMAS application. Although there is no specified length to this essay, please limit the length of this Personal Statement to the space available on this page. Please discuss how your background, experience or academic program has prepared you for meeting Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Mission, Goals, or Objectives.
 
@wysdoc Just got the secondary and here is the supplementary application question (I typed it out for easier copy-paste):

In no more than three paragraphs that will fit on a single page (if the essay creates a second page, it is too long), please discuss how your background, experience or academic program has prepared you for meeting Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine's Mission, Goals, or Objectives."

hi! I finished everything for the secondary application, and I want to submit, but there are showing that do not submit until ALL LORS are submitted to AACOMAS. I am just waiting for my physician letter of recommendation to come in and it should come by the end of this week, but the 2-week deadline for this school is tomorrow, should I still submit or wait for the letter of recommendation to come in?

I emailed admissions about this same issue. Luckily my writer submitted, but the response was "submit if all requirements are met" aka not that helpful. I would just reach out to them and explain your situation. The more proactive you are about it the better. Once the letter is submitted the only thing that takes time throughout the whole secondary is the essay, so make sure that is finished and ready to go so you can instantly submit. Also I had to follow up with my writer, and they were more responsive once I told them the deadline I was working with
 
Hi guys, I recently had my aacomas application verified and submitted my application to Touro (2 days ago). My MCAT is still being attached to my aacomas file so schools cannot see it yet (probably will in the next day or so) and my LORs aren't all in yet either. I just received a rejection email from Touro this morning...is that normal? I'm not really sure what happened. My application is really strong, no red flags whatsoever, nearly a 3.9 sgpa and cgpa. Only thing is that I'm a Canadian citizen. I'm not sure what the problem was though? Is it a red flag to have gotten my application verified and sent before MCAT or LORs were attached?
 
Hi! For the Touro secondary, did you complete it as three separate paragraphs or keep the information together in one paragraph?

I don't think this matters a ton. I broke mine into paragraphs for better flow, but I would doubt that they care much about this. But I do think it will be easier to read if broken into 3 paragraphs, and therefore may lead to a slightly better outcome for you 🤷‍♀️

its not a red flag to send an app before LORS and MCAT, but I would reach out to them to know for sure.

Citizenship Requirement​

Individuals who have met all application requirements and is a United States citizen or US Permanent Resident at the time of application are permitted to apply and matriculate at TouroCOM. Currently, TouroCOM does not consider DACA or international students.

So I submitted secondary on 7/17 with all of my letters, MCAT, verification etc done, and got a confirmation email with subject "Your TouroCOM-NY/MT Secondary E-Application Submission"
Then today 8/22 I got an email with subject line "TouroCOM Secondary Application Confirmation".

Has this happened to anyone else, and does anyone know what this means? My assumption is that it just processed today or something like that and that there's nothing I need to do or be worried about, but wanted to check if someone knew anything more. Thank you friends!

Am i too late for TouroCOM in harlem? My app was submitted and verified on august 30, I just didnt have a casper exam in, now I completed the capser exam like 2 days ago. I live like 30 mins away from it by the subway. I really wanna attend it's super close. I don't think i can get a secondary until they get my score or something.
 
Anyone heard anything back from the interviews?

I havent recieved one yet due to Casper which i recently took, so waiting for the score and then hopefully they send it.
 
For those who interviewed on the first day, do we think we will hear back next Monday, since that will be 6 weeks?

Just be aware that Touro is a Jewish school, and this is the middle of the Jewish holiday season, so they may take a little longer to respond. I believe Monday may even be a holiday. Dont freak out if it takes a little longer than usual (They warned us in my info session)

Wait, there are info sessions? How do I join? I couldn't find much on their site.
 
When did you all interview? Interviewed 9/10 still no word...
 
how long did it take for them to reach out for an II after submitting the secondary?
 
Have they started sending out interviews for RD applicants? Also, were secondaries sent out in different waves or on rolling basis??
