Heard that for class of 2028, almost 25% of the class did not make it to 2nd year, is this true? Usually class size to begin 1st year is about 130-135, the 2nd year count is 98. If this is indeed true, then its a very unfortunate situation.

CO 28 started with 130 I believe. I heard 9 or 10 took LOAs but came back. There are 122 sitting in class as of yesterday for the class of 2028!

Yes, it is true that we have 10 repeating second years in my class (OMS1) this year. However, many of them had to take LOAs which is why they are repeating. The majority is not due to failure. This school’s curriculum is hard as it is at any medical school, but they revamped it this year so that we have MODS. I am in Mod 3 right now, and I have to work really hard but I love the curriculum and the staff here. Passing an exam requires a 70% or above. The mod exams are usually 80 questions and many times there are 3 or 4 subjects on that 1 exam so they’re waited pretty high. Personally I more than passed the first two exams. It’s 100% possible to succeed here!
