Hi yall, I just had a question regarding the average timeline for application verification. I submitted my secondary with full payment on August 18th and received an email stating that following verification I would receive an email that my application was considered complete and ready for consideration for an interview. As far as I am aware no materials are missing but I have not yet heard back receiving any confirmation that my application is complete. Has anyone had similar experiences with this sort of timeline or is it worth reaching out?

I submitted on 7/17 and already had everything submitted and turned in. I didn't get the second complete email until 8/22.
AKA you may have to wait a bit even if all your materials are ready, and it is not a reflection on your competitiveness or anything like that, just how their process goes

I'm a bit confused about how to send update letters / if we can send update letters. On the email we received inviting us to complete the secondary it says we can add them directly to the e-application, but I can't find anywhere to upload my update letter.

Probably just send it to the admissions email.

I emailed admissions, and they told me to add my update as a new experience straight on the AACOMAS app, same with any new letters of rec. But if you're not sure if that applies to your update, I'd just email them and say you have an update and are unsure how to add it. They've been really responsive in my experience

Does anyone have interview tips for Touro Harlem? OOS II for 10/27
It was really relaxed honestly. Basic ethical scenario, why medicine/why touro/tell me about yourself, what specialty are you interested, tell me about this activity on your application and also be ready to explain any bad grades/mcat/lack of hours because they will ask

Submitted secondary on September 2, has anyone who submitted around then been verified?
I submitted around this time, did you ever get a verified or complete email? I called them last week and they said they would be reviewing my secondary application by the end of this week.

Hi friends! Has anyone seen an accepted students group me, or anything similar? Best of luck to everyone waiting to hear back!

hi y'all I actually got an interview for their Montana campus today but would prefer to interview at one of the NY campuses. Do you think it is worth withdrawing my app from montana and wait for an interview from NY? Not sure if I should risk it (this is also my first interview for the cycle LOL)

If I was you, I'd ask this to 1) trusted mentors who know you, your app, and something about the med school process, 2) post in the confidential expert advice page, and 3) your pre-med advisor at school if you have one (if you graduated you can often still make an appointment).

In my opinion, that's a more complicated decision than this forum can offer useful advice for. Regardless, best of luck to you and I hope you get accepted and more interviews!

Interviewed right before Thanksgiving, has anyone interviewed around then and heard back? Assuming we’ll have to wait until after the holidays but

Can anyone give some insight on what the Admissions Presentation is like?
It was basically just watching different people from Touro give a short presentation about the college. During mine the admissions director, dean, assistant deans, and a few professors all gave presentations or just spoke during their time. Then there are Q and A after each presenter. Some presenters wanted each person to introduce themselves. Most didn’t. It was more or less an information session about Touro with you being able to ask questions. There was supposed to be a question and answer session with Current Students but that was cancelled because of time issues with the students so we ended a bit earlier. The majority of people (like 95%) had cameras on and were dressed formally.

I got a II to Montana instead of Harlem (class is filling up) on Tuesday this week but ended up withdrawing my app. Good luck to you all!

Oh wow they explicitly told you that even though you selected Harlem, the Harlem class is filling up too quickly to be offered an interview so they’d like to interview you for Montana? (I’m accepted at Harlem so I’m just curious)

Yeah haha, but it's okay. I already received acceptances closer by.
