OOS secondary and I was not verified yet which is interesting. Looks like there is a 3 week deadline to submit the supplementary application.

For those who have not yet been verified. Please note that this is on the Secondary page. Dont wait, submit your applications.

Are you guys getting a second secondary or was this the first time?
Sorry, posted that on the wrong thread, just the one secondary and then they send a follow up email to submit prerequisite coursework. I did want to post that I interviewed last year with USUHS and would be able to answer questions about how the process went/what to expect if anyone would like!

I pray we get accepted this time around. I also interviewed, albeit pretty late, and was waitlisted.

Have anyone applied to MD/PhD part? I received the secondary and planning to submit soon. But just wanna know the process how things would look on the MD/Phd side?

The process would be pretty similar. You will eventually commission as an officer either in the Army or Air Force—two branches that usually have MD/PhD slots, one each. Your payback time would be 2/3 years more than MD, which is 7 years post-residency.

Received confirmation that my application has been marked complete- 7/14/2025 (Regular Decision)

Lol I know this does not mean anything, and they will have to process/interview the Early Decision applicants first but every bit of communication makes me feel less anxious 😅😅😅

Hey! Did you have any issues with the prerequisite match this time around?
After the AMCAS verification, I received another email from USU about the pre-req match. It was pretty smooth. Are you running into some issues? Maybe clearing your cache and history will help.

Thanks!!! I got it to work finally…all my materials are in !!

Good evening, everyone.

I am an incoming MS1 at USUHS and just wanted to stop by and wish you all the best while applying to the Class of 2030.

If you're curious about what life is like post-acceptance—such as officer training or the general experience of transitioning to medical school—feel free to PM me. I'm always happy to chat and support where I can.

Wishing you all strength, focus and resilience as you go through the process.

Hi! Is your application already verified in AMCAS? I haven't gotten this yet, but submitted my secondary a few weeks ago. I'm still pending AMCAS verification though...
Once AMCAS verified, they would ask you to match the prerequisites. That would probably be the last step to getting the complete email if the rest of your things, i.e., LOR, scores, etc., are in.

thank you!!

Another question - did you take the PREview exam? AAMC website says USUHS is “recommending” the exam but I’m not required. I also can’t find anything on the USUHS website about it. I already took Casper and don’t feel like spending more money on PREveiw…..

thank you!!

I didn't, but I have seen that if you have good practical leadership to show, it doesn't matter; if not, take it if you are confident of getting a good score. Taking it and getting a bad score may be seen as negative. If you have good stats overall, it may not matter as well.

That makes sense. Thank you for the input and for taking the time to respond! Much appreciated!
