2025-2026 Vanderbilt

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
according to their tracker they sent 8 interviews - maybe like a test wave? lol

Congrats to all who received!! Such an awesome school.

Does anyone know if the MCAT ranges reported on MSAR are superscore since Vandy considers MCAT superscores?

Probably, but I feel like super score is pretty rare for MCAT, not that many applicants would have it. Vandy would also wanna have the highest MCAT, so they prob do use superscore, but it should be good to consider ur super score within that range.

congrats to everyone who got II! I was curious about how long it typically takes between secondary and II for vandy? I think my app was considered complete aug 15.

What is LM? Could someone help clarify?

Do they ask in the secondary application if you have any family members who work as faculty at the medical school?

I recently added vandy to my school list and was wondering how long it usually takes before getting a secondary?

congrats! what were your other ec's! i have a similar LM so that's why i ask
MA for gap year, hospital volunteer, research at undergrad w pub + summer research program at T3, unique ethnicity + writing

Yall. I submitted the first day and I still haven’t gotten a secondary💀 I’m surprised they haven’t just rejected me😂

wdym? no one’s posted since saturday
At the very least, that post caused me to look at their tracker. It’s updated now with about 130 interview invites having been sent out

Would you be able to point us to their tracker—I am not familiar with that?

Thank you. This transparency of Vandy is nice. I wonder what other schools provide quantitative info on where they are in their interview cycle.
Michigan and Wayne State are others that come to mind

Same. Last year they sent out the first wave of Rs on 11 September so I am expecting mine this week.

I didn’t realize the primary screen was that intensive honestly. I assumed it would’ve just been a hard stats check.

They reportedly have multiple individual reviewers for every primary app. It's quite a process.
That explains why they take their time with interview invites. Honestly, that's a pretty good system for applicants.

do we know if they read chronologically?
I’m sure there’s some chronological basis to it, but I’d reason there’s more a stat-based component or preference to it. Given that they screen primary, I believe ‘chronologically’ is not weighted as significantly as stats + activities. I could be completely off base though

i have my interview this upcoming week, and is the KIRA an MMI? or are they seperate...

Can you elaborate on this, if possible? Like are you choosing from answer choices or just responding what you think?
Everyone, there is a lot of information about the process on Vanderbilt's Admissions pages. Prospective students can even attend a regularly scheduled Zoom information session. If you have questions about the format of their virtual interview that would be a good place to ask it.
They are not going to tell you the questions in advance, you will most certainly be expressing your thoughts and not doing a multiple choice answer.

Wsydoc words are perfect. Just do your research and be confident in yourself. Vanderbilt is one of the few schools that gives an insane amount of support to their interview invites.

I missed the zoom social hour today because I got the hours wrong. and I have an interview this week. Is it okay if I still attend the upcoming ones in two weeks?

Isn't the social hour tomorrow evening?

Edit: Weird, I see it as the 15th now. I had it in two different calendars as the 16th!

To answer your question, you can attend any of them from what I understand. They are not sign-up events
