So I have a little more than a week before my exam, I am hoping to get near the 220 mark and as the title states i was a bit off with a 205.

Is it possible, or is there a strong chance I will pull around a 205 on the real deal?

I think you can definitely do it. My scores seemed like they peaked the week before the exam. Just really try to look at everything in first aid again because it will literally help you get at least 10 more questions on the exam. I think it's a lot more helpful to go over everything than do questions the last week. Just out of curiosity what perent correct was your NBME 11 equivalent too. Good luck!

it has that I missed 52 which would be around 74% correct, on a side note I am a DO student trying to decide if I need to postpone, cancel, or leave my USMLE date where it is... That is why I am post my stat on here

Go through your answers. Correct the biggest or repeating flaws. Ignore the nitpicky questions. Lock down the major concepts you're missing and go from there.

Hey, I never post on this site, but I've been lurking a lot this week in anticipation of July 13th. I took my exam June 7th and I'm telling you - you can DEFINITELY pull up your score by a significant amount within a week...maybe 220+ would be a stretch, but definitely somewhere within the range of 215 or so.

I took my first NBME 12 two and a half weeks out and got a 218 (I was hoping for a 230). I was feeling discouraged and reading studentdoctor forums didn't help - so many horror stories of people regressing with their NBME scores. I ignored it, kept on chugging away everyday and decided not push back my test date - I'M SO GLAD I KEPT MY ORIGINAL DATE. A week later, I pulled up 10 points to a 228 on NBME 7, and by 3 days before the test I pulled up ANOTHER 10 points = 238 on NBME 11. So I managed to go from a 218 to a 238 in two weeks.

Looking back, I think I took my first NBME having barely finished FA. I just needed some more time to synthesize all the info I had gone over and make it click in my head. Once I got the big picture, my UWorld scores started going up, and my NBMEs followed suit.

It's really a matter of priority for you. If you think you won't be able to live with yourself with score under 220, then maybe you should consider pushing back your date. But if you would be okay getting something between 210 and 220, I really think you can pull it off in week.

Whatever you decide, keep chugging, you can do it, and GOOD LUCK!!! :luck:

also consider that at least for the nbme's, i think only a few more questions will separate you from a 205 to a 220.; for a 230 (82% right on one of mine), that means only 16 more questions right.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I ended up moving the test back to the 26th (it was the only other available date) and I feel like I have all the time in the world now. I plan to take another NBME sometime between now and then so hopefully things will be better, I also finished uworld this weekend and am planning on going back through the wrong questions so hopefully I can keep those style questions fresh in my mind.
