Hi y'all

I was wondering if anyone has any feedback on my list of schools. The list is long (I'm 27 and not getting any younger) because I know my MCAT is a weakness and there are some definite shots in the dark on there (Columbia, etc) but I've seen alot of friends go through this process and they've emphasized that there is an element of randomness so I figured why not go for some reaches....

Any schools I might have a shot at that I should add to this list?? I know very little about southern schools and the midwest so I'm not sure if I'm overlooking options in TX, MI, OH, etc...

My stats:
Took MCAT one time: 29T (PS 8, BS 10, VR 11)
sGPA=3.7
cGPA=3.6

Wa state resident
Undergrad=Stanford

You need to apply early, the first day. Get your files complete as soon as possible and you'll have a shot at MCW. I had comparable stats with no MD acceptances, however I had several DO acceptances. Good Luck

Hm you could always retake the MCATs, because the fact that your 11 is on the verbal is really good. Sciences are usually the scores you can most easily bring up and verbal generally stays the same for most people......
I had the opposite problem. But I think with your stats you should get interviews.

There is a good chance you won't get in this year with that score. Especially the 8. Is it possible for you to spend a bunch of time studying now and retake in mid-July? That would still be early enough to apply this year. You might get in with the current score, but why take a chance? Your gpa shows you learned the material, you can do better if you put in some time.

Now I know the MCAT sucks, but I'd retake it.

I think you have a good chance if you apply early
