for the 2x2 photo that schools want, does it have to be a smiling picture or can it be a serious one without teeth showing/smiling?
(asking since my serious 2x2 pic looks better than my smiling one)
why do schools request this?

Use the most friendly looking one. Many times in the apps they put the picture on the top. Don’t want your picture to be the reason they throw your app out
