Hi, this is my first time posting on the forum so i hope it works out.

My cGPA is a 3.402 and an MCAT score of 508 (127/128/128/125) 125 in Psych.

I am a student in UCSD (CA), with a Biochemistry and Cell Biology major.

I have about 250 hours of clinical experience.

Principal member (4 years) and President (3 years) of a club i'm a part of at school.

What are my chances for an MD school? How can i improve my application for next cycle if need be? What schools should i apply to outside of my sate schools?

With what you have given us all we can say is that according to historical norms, 40% of applicants with your stats are accepted to at least one school.
This tends to inflate success considering your state of residence, though.
Look for OOS schools that accept at least 15-20% OOS with a median MCAT around 30.

I'll give you another bump too...I have similar stats to you and was curious as well. Our gpa/mcat puts us in this weird middle spot where you can't be too confident where you can get in :/

What does wwamies mean?
They have a strong preference for students from certain states. Cali is not one, making applying there a futile effort.
Oregon and Central MI are also a waste of an app due to their in state preferences, and likely West Va and Nevada as well.
I think you should focus on private schools, not public schools from other states.

Are you Adventist? Drink? Have sex outside of marriage? Depending on the answers, delete Loma Linda.
Delete USC. I believe you are below 10th percentile for both MCAT and gpa.
Do you have a validated commitment to a lifetime of service to the African-american people? If not, delete Howard.

I suggest also applying to at least 8 DO schools and you are competitive for all DO schools. You may need a DO LOR for some schools.

Bump. Interested in seeing the replies as well, given how much this resembles my stats thus far.
