Hi all!

I submitted a post a while ago about a school list but it was before I had any MCAT scores so I couldn't do much in terms of deciding where to apply. Now that my application is all completed and I have scores I wanted to see if anyone had thoughts on my school list, what to remove, add, reach schools, etc.

Stats:

- Pennsylvania resident
- Double majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with a 3.51 cGPA and 3.42 sGPA
- 10 PS, 13 V, 10 BS MCAT

ECs:

- Undergraduate researcher in a bioengineering research lab over the past 3 semesters and summer (no direct publications)
- ~150 volunteer hours in a hospital OR/ICU over the past few summers
- ~600 hours non clinical volunteering in various organizations
- Work ~20 hours a week at a part time job during the winter
- Worked as a TA/Grader last semester for ~10 hours a week
- ~150 hours volunteering as an EMT (I started about 6 months ago)

I am from the northeast so I am applying to a lot of schools in the PA/NY area but I would definitely be interested in going somewhere a little farther away if I could get in. I have family in California but it seems my chance of getting into any of the Southern California schools is pretty slim.

I took the advice of some others on here and submitted my application for verification early, before even taking the MCAT, and just applied to a handful of places. Now that I have scores back my application is complete so I'm going to finish adding schools to my list but before I did I wanted to see if anyone on here had suggestions!

Schools thoughts so far:

Colorado
Albany
Rosalind Franklin
Hofstra North Shore
New York Medical
Commonwealth (PA)
Drexel
Jefferson
Penn State
Temple
Virginia Tech Carilion
Vermont

I would like to add a few more schools to this list so if anyone has critiques or suggestions feel free to comment! Thanks!

How about Rochester (it'll be a bit of a stretch, but still worth applying), Georgetown, and George Washington?

You list is very good. The only one that I would delete Is CO. You could add a few more private schools like Creighton, Rush and SLU if you like. Maybe Einstein, Emory and Tulane for good reaches?

Goro suggests:

Georgetown
Miami
St. Louis
Albany
Albert Einstein
Rochester
Rush
Rosy Franklin
BU
NYMC
VCU
EVMS
Wake Forest
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
George Washington
Emory
USC
Tulane
Dartmouth
Loyola
Creighton
Any new MD school, especially Hofstra and Va Tech
Any DO program
