Research Experience: Approx 1700+ hours research in cancer biology, SURP program in 2018

First author of abstract, 2nd author of two others. 2nd author paper should be published before cycle starts. Presented first author poster at national conference and an undergrad conference.

Clinical Experience (paid or volunteer): 700+ hrs ED scribe, 60 hrs volunteering at a pop up clinic organization.

Shadowing: 116 hours spread across shadowing 2 GIs, 1 Children's Emergency medicine physician, and a rural family medicine physician

Non-Clinical Volunteering: Big Brother Big Sister for 3 years 120 hours, TA for Cell Biology, Teacher for after school program for local elementary students.

Other Extracurricular Activities: Varsity college tennis for 4 years, Pre-med student mentor, Student Advisor for pre-orientation program, College Library worker for 3 years 700 hours

Hey Everyone! I am a reapplicant this upcoming cycle. In the past gap year, I retook my MCAT and got a 518, accumulated 700 hours of scribing, shadowed 2 GIs, and enrolled in a DIY post bacc program. Would love some feedback on my school List and application overall! Thanks so much!

I think your new MCAT and Post-bacc improvement will help you a ton this next year. Your activities are excellent. Still you need to apply broadly. Of your list, I don’t know if it’s worth it to apply Buffalo, Colorado, or Arizona.

You can also look into: Vermont, Quinnipiac, Wayne State, Oakland B, Tulane, Drexel, TCU.
