Hey everyone!

I would feel fairly confident in my chances of getting into at least one of these schools if it were not for the fact I have not yet submitted my AACOMAS primary application. I'm not too familiar with how this will affect my chances so I was wondering what all of you think; I will be submitting my application in the next few days (if not tomorrow!).

I have a 3.57c/3.39s GPA, and a 31 (12ps/10v/9bs) on my MCAT. I am a Florida resident, so IS for both NOVA and LECOM-B. I was wondering what you think my *honest* chances are, applying this late into the game for these schools.

(Edit: I think I'll be complete around beginning of October according to the AACOMAS verification thread, but my secondaries will be submitted the same day I get them!)

Some other schools I am applying to are:

CCOM
KCUMB
AZCOM
PCOM

but I'm really hoping for an IS acceptance!

Thanks in advance!

Great chances.. if you have decent ECs!

Great job 😀. You should be fine buddy, add some more schools IMO. I would even add MDs if you are interested in going into their philosophy rather than DO. Good luck bro 👍

You are good for DO. Even if you haven't submitted yet, you are still ok. The DO cycle lasts longer. If you have the money, I would fill out an AMCAS app too and at least apply to the new FL schools, like FAU, FIU, FSU, and UCF. You may be a little late, but it's at least worth the try in my opinion. Just get it submitted ASAP.

*Yawn*, woke up in the middle of the night to some replies!

Really glad to hear the positivity! It really means a lot. I guess nothing left to do but apply!

I like to think I have better than average ECs!

I appreciate it! How many do you think is a good number for DO schools? I think I will add DMU to the list as well. I'm just really a small town (or at least not huge city) person, but at the same time I want to make sure I rotate at bigger hospitals so I actually learn a thing or two, so I'm really conflicted about the places I want to apply!

Thank you, I probably will submit for my 7 MD state schools as well. It's just a little discouraging hearing from everyone that it is too late on the MD side! But I guess there's nothing to do except to apply and see what happens. I think the $1,000 or so will be worth it to try and get my applications out.

Though I quoted specific people, anyone feel free to chime in on either my replies or original question! Thanks!

I haven't applied yet but I know DMU numbers tend to be around 3.7cgpa/3.7sgpa/28 MCAT which is a 65 Lizzy M score. Your gpa and MCAT is around that level. I think it is worth applying there. If you can afford it, I would add MSUCOM to your list. Apply where you think will fit you best 👍
