MCAT I and II: sub-500.

What are my chances of getting into medical school and what schools do you suggest I apply to?

Apply broadly, especially targeting the newest schools. Skip all Touros, KCU, PCOM, Western, CUSOM, BCOM, LUCOM, Wm Carey, Nova, CCOM and AZCOM.

IF you have test taking anxiety, get that fixed.

Thanks for the response! I think that’s part of the reason why I performed so poorly on the retake. Scored up to 510 on practice but I accidentally pulled an all nighter the night before the exam...

Bump – curious to see if anyone else has any feedback for me?

If that's really the "accident" that caused you to perform so poorly on the MCAT, you really should do a retake.

Based on the stats alone that you provided (I don't know the rest of your application), IF you apply very broadly you should net a few IIs. IMO I think you'll be okay if you aren't picky about where you'd like to live for the next 4 years or which school you'd like to attend. Where is your state of residence?

in my opinion keep up the clinical experiences and try and get some stellar LORs (get a letter from a DO it will help you), also please make sure you shadow a DO it will give you something to talk about in your interview and will show you are serious about DO and not just applying there because of your MCAT score. You need to make sure everything else in your app is stellar if youre going into the cycle with a 499 MCAT. If you play your cards right apply smart and listen to Goro you should be okay if applying broadly. Are you URM?

Thanks for the advice. I’m Filipino, so I’m not considered URN.

Fortunately, I took your advice with a grain of salt. Earlier this month, I accepted BCOM's offer to join their Class of 2023.

Touro would've given you a chance
I don't know about TUNCOM, but the coastal Touros have among the highest MCATs of all the DO schools. I can't see the OP, being a 2x MCAT taker who can't crack 500, getting any love from them. OP's chances are best with the newest schools.

All online advice should be taken with a grain of salt. It’s advice you solicited at that. Nobody here knows all the nuances of your application nor do we know the person that will review your app. What a weird way to share your good news.

Some people simply have to say "I told you so!"
