3.77 gpa, 35R MCAT....But...

Is there still a chance to make it into top 10/top 20 med schools? Or is that too much of a reach?

I think you're fine...to be honest, your MCAT score indicates that you know it well enough to get a good score in the biological sciences section. It has been less and less emphasized on the test over the years anyway, which makes me believe medical schools care less about organic chemistry in demonstrating academic ability. I'm in a similar position (although just 2 B's in orgo compared to As in other subjects). I think you have a shot anywhere and it shouldn't be too much of a red flag.

Hey OP,

I'm no expert, espesically since I've only now started researching schools, but from what I've read so far, it sounds like you stand a very good chance in getting into a top 20. You have an awsome MCAT score, and that alone will assure get you through the first cut. Good luck! :xf:

If you don't mind my asking, how did you prepare for the MCAT...and for how long?
