Hi guys!
I am currently deciding on schools to apply to and would appreciate advice from you!
Since I am a California resident, I am applying to most of the med schools in California:

Stanford
UCSF
UCLA
UCSD
UCD
UCI
Keck

Schools from other states that I am considering:

Albert Einstein
Case Western
Geisel
Temple
Mayo Clinic
Ohio State
Tufts
Tulane
UMichigan
Rochester
Wake Forest

Besides stats, I also pick these schools because I have friends there so if I am granted interviews I can save some money on housing! XD

Thank you!!

I would post in the "What Are My Chances (WAMC)" thread. You'll get better advice there. Also follow their format and include your EC's.

Since your stats are very strong, consider applying to some low cost state schools like Texas where, even though they have an insane IS preference, they're likely to 'boost' their averages with high-stat OOS applicants.

Consider also your research strength. Your numbers are certainly in line with top schools, but many of them are research powerhouses and will expect you to have significant research in addition to top numbers. If you don't, be sure to factor that into your school list.

And EC's? Many schools (including some in CA) are very mission-focused, so check for fit there too before applying.

EC's:
2000+ hours of research, one third-author publication with presentation/posters at 2 Conferences
300+ hours of shadowing
200+ hours of clinical volunteering (not including 5 trips to international mobile clinics)
400+ hours of nonclinical volunteering
Vice President for two major campus clubs and currently on eboard for two more clubs
Have received a couple competitive campus awards in recognition of my academic performance and extracurricular activities

Thanks guys!

I am gonna follow kbac13's advice and move this thread to WAMC.
