I lost a loved one this quarter. I'm doing an informal post-bacc as well. At best, I can get 3 C's this quarter. If I petition to drop, I'll end up with 3 W's. I already have 4 W's on my transcript. I'm still battling depression from all this and trying to figure out what to do. Please advise...I don't know what to do. My finals are next week and I still cannot study whatsoever.

Sorry to hear about your lost.

Drop. For sure. If the best you can get is a C, then chances are you will get a lot lower, especially since you are saying you can't study.

Drop. Get your head together and just do well next time you take the classes. You don't want to risk having 3 Cs or worse on your transcript, on top of the four you already have. Easy decision. Take the Ws. Best of luck.👍

Thank you guys. I'll drop then. What a horrible situation.

As someone who has seen many friends battle through depression.

I hope you feel better, and I am sure the SDN community wishes you feel better.

Class is never worth mental anguish. Drop the courses and once you are healthy continue your studies.

Good luck.

Thank you for this comforting response. To be honest, I actually feel a sense of comfort knowing I'll be able to step away from this to clear my mind for a while. This past quarter has been absolute torment for me. I almost never made it to class and did horribly on my exams. I'm not sure why I kept thinking I could beat this. I should have dropped weeks ago. Again, thank you for the response. This entire situation is causing me to post-pone the application cycle until next year. 🙁
