30. The answer is C. I dont see why there would be those 2 blocks sticking out from the top view. The star looks like it is completely within the square.

23. The answer is C. I get confused with the slope/slants. Since the figure has a slope on both sides, I chose B because we wouldnt see the slope on the back side so dashed line.

21. The answer is D. Why wouldnt it be dashed lines for all because we wouldnt see the back side of the tip and base from the end view?

(I think the attachments are out of order so I added the number for each picture. Thanks!)

My test a week from tomorrow and I have been getting 20-21's on PAT and 18-19 on AA for Kaplan Tests. The math is bringing me down but any advice on what you did the last week. Im getting tired of this stuff haha. Its been the whole summer!

The Front and End view (solid lines) tell us that the bottom portion of this figure is a cross shape with the Front side much wider than the end side.

23. The answer is C. I get confused with the slope/slants. Since the figure has a slope on both sides, I chose B because we wouldnt see the slope on the back side so dashed line.

Slants on the in 2D looks like squares. The dotted line in the Front view tells us that the figure will have some sort of hole through the middle. This logic will help us knock out A and D (the top view does not support us that the end view is covering the gap through the middle). To knock out B, you knock the slant is visible in either of the front sides; thus, you should not represent it with a dotted line.

For Question 21, you see the inner circle will make two dotted lines; From this, you can narrow your answer to B, C, or D. But the reason you knock out C is because C gives dotted lines for the two corners you can see (which is clearly wrong). Finally, you can knock out B, because the dotted are too far apart from the actual image.

For math, the only advice I can give you is to practice, practice, practice. Skip the ones that you think are long or difficult. Just rush through it and finish all of the easier ones as fast as you can and do the hard or skipped ones afterward.
Hope this helps!

21 the answer is D if your able to count the lines. Look at the front view, and line up the lines with D. It matches up. That is the easiest way to see that.

For 30, you can narrow it down to C or D. If you look at C, there is a line right in the middle that indicates the peak of the star. D does not so you can get your answer that way.

For 23, slopes do not have a distinct change in surface. Same for a slant. You can think of it as being a triangle or something where the hypotenus doesn't have a distinct change in dimension, so there is no line drawn for it. Here you can narrow it down to C or D. D is obviously wrong with the dotted line up top so the answer can only be C. It can't be B because the Solid line would cover the dotted line in the End view.
