Hey Guys,

I attended Boston University SOM for their Master's in Medical Science Program and ended with a 3.70. I had a decent undergrad gpa until senior year which was just horribleeee and brought my science gpa to 2.9 but overall is 3.25. (Bio Major) I have taken a few undergrad classes and made 4.0 since graduating as well as this program. I have worked in a hospital for 2 years and shadowed 4-5 physicians.

I took the MCAT twice and made a 30Q both times. Do you know if med schools count the highest from each section or just the highest mcat score or the most recent? If they count the highest I made in each section I would have a 33Q.

I will be doing research for the next year for my thesis.

Do I have a chance of getting into medical school? Where should I apply and what should I do.

I want to take the MCAT again in January after really studying instead of studying for a couple weeks. Will it help me during interviews?

Are you applying for the current cycle or for the next cycle for the class of 2016? If you are applying for the class of 2015 then the january MCAT will have no bearing on your interviews.

I guess I wanted to take it in January for dual purpose. More so, to use for the 2016 cycle if it comes to that, or to use in conversation during an interview if I get some late ones I can at least say that it is now a "3x" instead of "30q"
