Hi,

I am currently completing my second year of residency in Family Med. I have been trying to locate PGY-3 openings for July of this year, but have not found any so far. I have looked at Resident Swap, but it seems most of the spots are for PGY-1 and the PGY-3 spots appears to be DO openings.

I would really appreciate if anyone can help direct me as to where I can search for PGY-3 openings.

The ABFM does not allow a resident to switch into another program for PGY-3 except for in the case of extreme hardship (program closing etc). You are required to complete the last two years of training in the same program for continuity of care.
