Idk about these schools: UMass (low post II A rate, my stats a bit low for it, barely matriculated from the Midwest, ~30% OOS in matriculating class)

Hackensack (kinda new and idk abt living in NJ)

Oakland (something abt this school I don’t like)

Btw I want to stay away from CA, FL, NY for personal reasons, so don’t suggest any of those schools.

Thanks for the help!!

As a Kansas resident, you have a distinct advantage presuming you want to practice in Kansas. Especially if you grew up in any of the rural counties, you should have a strong shot with a strong application. Cost of attendance also works in your favor with in-state tuition. That tie will be more effective than any other ties you claim.

If you are concerned about finding a culture of belonging, look up AMMSA or similar organizations at the schools of interest. Michigan has a large diaspora of Arab and Muslim America so you should consider their schools in your list.

I’m not from a rural county. I will have to look at mosque proximity and AMMSA to narrow down this list. Any other Michigan schools you suggest than the ones I have? I added most except the in state heavy ones.

Also, I forgot the DO schools:
KCU
KCOM
DMU
OSU

Some of the schools on your list are unrealistic or take few OOS students. I suggest:

Emory
KU
SLU
Creighton
MCW
Rosalind Franklin
UIC (very high tuition fyi)
Loyola
Colorado
Quinnipiac
Tufts
Dartmouth
George Washington
Vermont
Wake
Georgetown
VCU
EVMS
Western Michigan
Wayne State
Oakland
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Penn State
Hackensack
Tulane
TCU

UMKC gives some special consideration to residents of neighboring states so you can try them. It does not appear that Missouri does though and they are ~85% IS.

Your DO list is good if you wish to apply there.
