4-6 weeks for review

So I'm at week five of being complete at most schools (committee letter completed my file at most schools between October 15 and October 25, and everytime I call schools who I haven't heard from yet they tell me that they have a 4-6 week processing time.

Being right in the middle of that (5 weeks) has me checking my email at least once every other hour (at least) and making frantic calls home demanding mailbox checks. I feel like I'm losing it.

Is anyone else in my shoes? 😍

LOL! I was for a long time, but after my DCOM acceptance I withdrew a bunch of my applications. Shortly after that, I got my other two interviews. So, I don't have that many more out there and I can finally relax.🙂 But trust me, I TOTALLY understand how you feel. I was going through the same thing for a while. Honestly, it may even be longer than the 4-6 weeks, at least that has been my experience. Take a nice hot shower and try to relax. Do something to keep your mind off of it. You know what they say; a watched pot never boils...GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm really mostly waiting on CCOM - I was complete Oct. 24th - is it really bad that I haven't heard a thing yet? It's been a little over six weeks! haha Sorry, I'm really freaking out.

Same case here, been complete since mid October and have not heard anything back from any of the schools, other than being told we are reveiwing applications. I stopped obsessing over it, because whether Im stressing or not, it won't make the DO schools respond any faster.

Yup, I submitted secondaries to 7 osteo schools. I have interviewed at 1, I have an interview set up for January at another, and another schools has put me on "hold" (I am taking that as a rejection, thank you DMU👎 ) and I haven't heard a peep from the 4 other schools.

I am frustrated/anxious myself, but I can remember reading this forum last year and you know what, other people were in a similar situation. We will be fine.

BTW, I also frequently check my E-mail and mailbox thinking I am going to have something in there any day now (my hands even get sweaty just before I open my mail) and yet I continue to find nothing.

Ive applied to 3 DO schools ...

NSU -- received interview invite within a week of submitting secondary, DO Letter ...

PCOM-GA -- told me it takes about 3 weeks, I'm currently on week 2.

LECOM-B -- Supposedly I'm to receive a letter in the mail regarding my post-secondary decision .. let's hope its an interview invite.

the MD schools ... *hearing crickets* ... been complete at UASOM and Meharry, nothing. MCW finally gave me their secondary app ... deciding on if I should do it ... EVMS I wont do .. South Alabama has been total crickets, not even a secondary! 🙁

since 10/19 😳 i'm a re-applicant this time..i'm in at tucom-ca but i'm reeaally trying to stay in IL (i've lived in michigan and boston for schoool and i just dont want to move anymore 🙂 ) ccom was the only school i listed on my aacomas so they will make me or break me =) i was looking through my old stuff from last year and noticed they rejected me 2-3 weeks after being complete..so i'm hoping this 8th week of waiting will pay off! 😉 how's the waiting going for you? 🙂

i'm also waiting and going totally nuts. i was complete on oct 20th, and have an interivew at TUCOM-CA in jan. why can't umdnj-som or pcom just give me an interview? i didn't turn in my secondary for unecom and am now thinking about doing so...

It's been insane! I'm in the same boat with you - about this being the only school I listed on my aacomas - so it's definitely scary! I'm into my 7th week of waiting - gah! When you first got rejected, was this before the interview(after your secondary was complete)? Did you initially apply last year? So they do notify you either way (if you get an interview or a rejection)?

Anyway, best of luck to you!!! We can do it, cbenedic! (Sorry I don't know your actual name haha)
