I currently have 4 work/activity boxes which correlate with one another and talk about my religion, what I did at church etc. Although, these are all different activities I still talk about the religion in all four:

1. Teaching a particular language, teaching values, customs and history of the religion to younger children
2. Serving the surrounding community by working with a group of people from the church (charity, cooking/serving food)
3. Part of a club on campus that is named after the religion, and practicing the religion and representing student body of the particular religion, holding events on campus on religious days etc.
4. Hobby: Singing Religious devotional music and playing an instrument at the church

Is this too much religion? Should I not include so much of my religious activities on AMCAS primary application? I do not talk about any of this on my personal statement and it just shows the person I am but I don't want adcoms to think I'm so religious.

Also, what schools should I absolutely avoid if I to end up including all these religious extracurricular assuming I apply broadly and everywhere

You could easily just make your hobby "singing and playing an instrument." No need to mention religion unless you want to. That said, if it's important to you, it's okay to represent that on your application. As long as it reads well and isn't redundant I wouldn't imagine it would be a problem. This will not work against you and imagine there really aren't any schools you should avoid based on this.

Agree with @DrHart . You could also consider merging 1&2

sounds like you're a sikh
it should be fine to include all of those

*shrug*

I'm not shy about including religious activities and never have been. It's never been a problem.

I'm sure OP wouldn't either if he/she came from a Jewish or Christian background. Fear of being discriminated against is always stronger when discussing religious activities outside of those two.

The honest truth is it depends on which religion you practice and often where the school is located. If faith is important to OP I think that it should be included if presented professionally and especially if it can tie into a desire to pursue medicine. If the OP is Sikh I'm sure he/she will be fine 🙂.

I wonder how the answers would change if OP was Muslim

Of course Christian males have no problem talking about their faith; Jesus is mainstream.

OP should do what they feel best represents them. There's no wrong answer.

Fair point, but I doubt it would change too much. Diversity is looked at favorably.
