Hi friends, I came to know about 4 year DMD program for international dentist at Florida uni. They have only 2 seats and preference is given to Florida residents.I called them and make sure that residents of other states can also apply there.
I want your opinions- what do you think about this program?
If anybody has more information regarding this please let me know.

Check this link for program-

Positive or negative but at least reply something If your friend or any person whom you know has applied for it.
Plllllllllllllllllllllzzzzzzzzzzzzz:help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help:

If schools had it their way; International dentist programs can be even 5 years and still there would be a lot of applicants interested. When there are so many 2 and 3 year programs that give you a DDS or DMD to practice dentistry is US, why is a 4 yr progam worth considering or discussing?

You are right Venkat there are many 2 and 3 years programs.But my part 1 score is only 84.So I was thinking about the programs which have less competition. But the problem for this program is they prefer Florida residents. That's why I asked if anybody from other state has any chance to get in.
Someone might have first hand experience with this school 😏

Good luck finding someone; though I feel it is highly unlikely you will come across someone with first hand experience.

I believe a year from now, an NBDE I score 84 will not be looked at the same way it was before.

Why not give the DAT and apply to the regular 4 year DDS/DMD...Im sure some colleges wuld accept foreign dentists even if they don't have 3 yrs of pre-dental US college education.

BombayBDS I would have given DAT when I first came to USA at that time I just completed my 2nd year of BDS.But the problem is, Maths and Physics go over my head!!!! That's why I chose Dentistry..

Yesterday while I was checking the website and saw the 4 year program , I thought on th same lines as you .. that It would make sense to apply for a 4 year program ....But then I slept over it ..
1. Four year is a long time .. its almost double the time , efforts ,
and imagine the amount of fees you will spend for those 4 years ..
2. Instead I would wait for the whole year and take a chance again in the next application cycle , improve my profile with Part2 and practise hand skills .
3. I know waiting is really tough .. Its getting extremely difficult each day ..But all in all four years is not justifiable ...
