Only 4 schools that I know of accept scores older than 3 years. This being the 2014 cycle, the scores would be 4 years old. Do you think that I should re-take for a larger pool of schools to choose from, or try to apply to these schools and choose one...

You're going to choose a small pool of schools to apply to based on the age of your DAT scores?

Seems like a great plan.

Does one of those schools happen to be your state school? If so, then maybe it is okay--if the rest of your application is absolutely stellar.

I'd retake. If you did well once, you can do it again--and probably even better this time! 🙂 You are looking at state schools with that small list, all of which are difficult to get into OOS.
