It's like a feeding frenzy in the HOPD for employed spine surgeons...

"Waldref’s office said Yam will receive $4.1 million from the settlement. As well, Medicare, Medicaid and other affected federal insurance programs will receive $10 million. The remainder will be returned to the federal Treasury, Waldref said."

Why useless? It sounds like the two surgeons he outed were pretty bad. Could have been Dr Death 2.0. One did a spinal fusion in 2018 based off a 2016 MRI.

Probably the tip of the iceberg unfortunately.

I’ve got a doc or two I’d love to blow the whistle on. One was from shady practices years ago and I have no hard evidence now, just past recollection of various shady things he was doing. I’m sure he’s still doing them. Do you need hard evidence to blow a whistle?
