I've decided that the first half of my fourth year is going to be one giant road trip. I am starting in either AZ or Cali, then to Portland, Chicago, DC, and then either a vacation month for interviews or Vandy in Nashville.

I just don't see myself being able to have the chance to do something that ... well... FUN... again for a *long* time. Plus, I have a bird who I can't leave with anybody for longer than a couple days (he pulls feathers), so this way he can come with. Has anybody else done something like this and if so, how was it?

Thanks!

TSD

I am applying to an Internal Medicine residency with an eye to an ID or Heme/Onc fellowship, USMLE 233/97, COMLEX 589/88 (osteopathic student); good rec's, lots of extracurriculars, but pretty mediocre GPA/Class Rank. So if anybody has any advice on programs that I'd have a good shot at... that would be SUPER!

That sounds very exciting. I have a classmate who planned his fourth year in multiple states because he is a "traveler". Not sure how much time he'll have in fourth year but from what I hear, the rotations are outpatient M-F type deals so there is plenty of time. Good luck 👍
