Hi,

I took a 5 credit course at a college, but when I transfer to a Uni, it is equivalent to a 3 credit course there.

My school will calculate it as a 3 credit course, but how will OPTOMCAS or optometry schools calculate it as?

I'm asking because all gen bio/chem/phys courses are 5 credits in that college, whereas in a Uni they are 4 credits.

thanks.

To be safe, You could act as if it was 3 units. If you're falling short on units for a certain prereq, email the specific school and explain your situation and include course descriptions from the ORIGINAL institution. They may rule in your favor. If not, you might have some extra schooling to do. If they say "ya. We'll take what you have" make sure you keep the email and include it with your supplemental or ask them how they would like it to be submitted.
