How many hours a day should I be studying per day? I am currently getting a masters in addition to studying for the MCAT. I am struggling with how many hours I should be studying per day for the MCAT. This will be my second time taking it so I really want to do well this time!! It seems that I am currently studying between 3 to 5 hours most days. Is this enough? If not any suggestions for how I can fit more studying in my day?

I spent about 4-5hrs every weekday mon-thurs studying for it when I took the mcat. It's equally important that you use those time efficiently. Different people have different study preferences. For me, I only did practice problems and passages then go over things I got wrong.

How long were you studying 4-5 hr per day? Did you make the score you wanted?

It wasn't quite the score I wanted (32), ended up with a 30, which was my average while doing all the practice test so it was kind of mixed feeling because I definitely felt I could have done better. I did that studying plan for about 3 months, wished I had spent more than just 4 days a week but I was working full time at the time and was totally spent and couldn't dedicate more days to studying for the mcat. I guess my only recommendation would be to do as much problems as you can... in fact quite a few similar one showed up. Its hard but you must try to focus and put your best effort in so you don't have to retake it again. If you're not working full time, it should be a easier than it was for me.
