This is actually my second pass of Uworld, but it took me over a year to do it the first time and I didn't really utilize it as a learning tool. I would barely do 2 blocks a week.

Second time, I used it to learn, and finished it within 6 months. (still too long)

I'm planning on doing it a third time, though I will treat it as my second time since the first time I barely learned anything and took forever to do it. I want to finish it within 35 days.

How should I attack Uworld this "second" pass? All advice is greatly appreciated on how to maximize my study efforts this "second" go. I feel like I learned a lot the "first" time around. I was averaging 60s towards the end.

56% on your second pass? If this were one of those "what's the next step?" kind of UWORLD questions my answer would be karyotype analysis.

Jokes aside, clearly there must be more efficient ways to learn the material than what you are currently doing. How about a quick pass through FA before you start?

I actually have been going through FA with DIT videos. Once I finish that up again I'll be reading FA on its own from then on. But please consider this my first pass though, I really did not utilize Uworld like I should have going through the first time.

I would do another qbank instead of repeating uworld a third time. You obviously lack some fundamental knowledge if you are scoring that low having seen all the questions before. Doing them again might not help that much. I suggest USMLERx, which is really great for hammering down all the facts in FA. Unless you are having trouble with the concepts rather than the details, in which case you would probably need to review your fundamentals (pathoma etc.).

Thank you! I actually do have more trouble with facts than concepts so I'll check out USMLERx asap!

Also, I'm also watching Pathoma videos after I watch DIT videos for a particular section. So say I watch Repro DIT vids, I'll watch the corresponding Pathoma videos after. I'm really motivated to get this exam done!

I've done DIT and pathoma and let me tell you, I think you'd be better off doing the Pathoma first - DIT is exhaustive but doing pathoma beforehand can help you streamline through DIT, if you're doing it section by section (e.g., Pathoma Female Repro/Gestational, Male Repro ----> DIT Repro)

Thanks for the response! I actually have been feeling that DIT is too much and stopped doing DIT, instead I'm reading the chapters in FA and it's going well and most importantly its going by FASTER. You're absolutely right though, DIT videos really tire you out.

But I'll give your way a try and see how it goes.

I'd suggest doing DIT if you're getting that low on your second pass. You're a second year right?
