Overall, I'm happy with my scores.
Bio---
I studied this 3 X more than all the other sections combined. I had the most random and obscure questions on my version. A few questions on Calvin cycle, quite a few on evolution (divergent, convergent, etc), primordial earth, one kidney question that was really asking more about blood pressure, a histology picture, a tiny bit of genetics, absolutely nothing on endocrine system, absolutely nothing on oxidative phosphorylation, absolutely nothing on digestive system, absolutely nothing on heart and brain, and 3 or 4 questions on stuff i had never ever ever seen or heard of before.
I used Kaplan, MCAT Hyperlearning (to understand the concepts) Cliffs AP Bio, then cycled back again through Kaplan and Cliffs AP. I was aiming for total bio domination, but I'm not unhappy with my score. My version was completely completely random!!!!
Gen Chem--
I did better on this section than my practice tests. Kaplan BB was enough for this. Lots of LeChatelier stuff, identifying oxidizing/reducing agents, one balancing equation, no redox balancing equations. Mainly conceptual, just a few easy calcs with the answers in the form of the set up equation.
Orgo--
1 proton NMR, one kind of weird IR, but by process of elimination, the answer was pretty obvious. No obscure reactions. Pretty much straight forward. Pretty easy. Kaplan BB is good enough for this. Oh, and I didn't get any carbohydrate questions either.
PAT-
This **** was hard!!!! I was getting 22's and 23's on CDP, so I was surprised that I was struggling during the real test. Keyholes are much harder on the real test. TFE was harder on the real test. Angles were okay. Just a tad easier than CDP, but still some crazy ones. Hole Punching was easier. Cube Counting was easier. Pattern Folding was pretty ridiculous.
Reading Comprehension--
Crocodiled, Motion Visioned, and Fungied.
Search and destroy won't do a lot of good on the first two. Almost all the questions were inference type. Fungi was straight up search and destroy, but since I had spent so much time on the first two passages, I was getting a little panicky. 19 is okay I guess, but I'm surprised that it's 53.3%. That's pretty low.
Quantitative--
Yep, lots of word problems, but if you can filter through the garbage quickly, the actual calculations were really easy. Two trig problems. A few calculate the area types that were really easy. 75% word problems. Crack DAT Math was good for practicing the timing. The problems in Destroyer were really good to work through and understand. I worked through those 3 times. I think there was 2-3 probability problems, but they weren't bad. I didn't get any permutations, which I had spent a lot of time learning.
That's it. I'm so so so glad I'm done. I studied every day for the past month and a half. I shut myself off from the outside world completely.
Hope this has been helpful and informative.😍
